This is all to common on cars of this age, if you are going to keep the car i strongly suggest buying a new radiator, whatever you do dont use products to plug holes in the radiator that you actually pour in the radiator

SOURCE: someone put water from a

You have a bad hose or lose connection. By driving the car it will only get worse from the internal pressure. Putting water into it from a cooler is OK as long as you do it slowly and with the engine running. Take your car to a mechanic you trust and have them diagnose the problem then go elsewhere for a second opion. If the diagnosis is the same then find someone cheap and realiable to repair.
Good luck and thanks for your question and I hope my suggestions help. burdfrenzy

Losing coolant with no visible leaks 2005 jeep liberty engine 3.7

Did you listen to the radiator too see if it gurgles when filling? When filling the gurgling tells you there are no air or coolant leaks in the engine much the same as an upside down soda bottle gurgles when turned upside down. Also look in the radiator too see if bubbles are coming from the bottom of the radiator while running at normal operating temperature with the cap off.? If you see bubbles coming from the bottom, you have a leaking head gasket. This can and will happen without the coolant leaking into oil, and without oil leaking into coolant. The gasket leaks right near the cylinder and sucks the coolant into the cylinder on the intake stroke, and blows it back into the radiator on compression stroke. This is why the coolant bubbles up from the bottom. The coolant that gets sucked in gets vaporized and comes out the exhaust. Loosing coolant ?? This is where it is going if no leaks under or around around the vehicle.Good luck I hope this solves your problem. Please post a solved comment on fixya, so I receive credit for the solve.

How can i tell if my coolant leak coming from my water pump

The water pump is in front of your motor. If the coolant is leaking from under the water pump, then the gaskets on your pump need to be replaced. Depending on how many miles you have on your vehicle, you're better off replacing the whole pump, plus the belts and thermostat. Yes, new gaskets come with the pump.

I have a 97 nissan maxima that is leaking coolant immediately after i put it in. i have a new radiator and have had the hoses checked and a pressure tests done on the radiator also the heat in the car

if you cant see it leaking, it could just need a coolant system flush to clear anything out that could be clogging it. get it towed to a shop to get it flushed. if you see it leaking, find the source and correct it! look at the drain plug at the bottom corner of the radiator, could be lose which would cause massive amounts of loss because thats where it is emptied for normal maintenance.

Loosing coolant not a lot and motor does not overheat is it the water pump

Water pumps usually leak coolant at their bottom "weep hole" when they go bad. Any coolant drips from the front of your engine? That would almost surely be the water pump. If you can't tell where any leaks are, have a pressure test done- that should show where the coolant is leaking or being lost.

The radiator keeps throwing out all the water from the resovoir, why? everytime i put water or the cooler fluid and i use da car and turn it off all the water leaks out through the resovoir.

Engine cooling is a team effort, ie; radiator , coolant fan , thermostat , hoses etc . You need to change the coolant thermostat (cheap ) to elliminate any coolant problems (pressure), the rest is just water managenent ! ! It's not a leak and I feel a replacement coolant thermostat will answer your prayers ! The enging only has to overheat ONCE to have a serious bill at the end of all the guess work. Good Luck
