Bcm or wiring issue? 2001 dodge grand caravan has 3.8 engine. Front wheel drive.

Runs and drives great. Problem is I can't use my turn signals. When I use them I lose all dash lights and gauges. Everything else works great. Power likes, power doors, security etc. I was told possibly a bcm but when I called the dealership they said it was $700 and isn't guaranteed to fix the issue. We tried removing the fuse box and cleaned that all down from corrosion and that fixed the issue for a ride to town. On the way home it happened again as soon as I hit the turn signal to turn. Lost all lights and gauges again! Please help!

Check for a bad ground wire for the dash circuits

Testimonial: "Ok where would that be? I know we have also tried doing the reset on the dash as well and that did nothing! Disconnected the battery too and nothing."

disconnecting the battery causes more problems that it fixes as it corrupts the CPU program in the ECM as for the ground wire , it will be a black wire under a bolt head or screw

I was told the right rear and center differential went out on my 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan ES AWD. Is this an expensive and difficult thing to repair?

Yes to both. It depends on your financial condition on whether you should get a newer vehicle or not. If you can afford it , buy another vehicle. The vehicle is old and other repairs are inevitable.

More then likely this is all caused by a cool named car part called the clockspring. It is located in the steering column. The good news though, call a Dodge dealer, I believe this is an item/repair covered under recall/warrenty!

BCM Unit in 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan

The BCM Unit had to re-learn the systems when I put another unit in. The Windshield wipers use to come on whenever they wanted to without touching the button and the air conditioning stopped working all together, but now it works like new. Everything works perfectly but the only draw back is that the odometer jumped from 94,521 miles to 120,000 miles when I installed the new BCM Unit. I know that the miles were lower but I am happy that the van is running great and everything works just as they are suppose to. I believe that the air conditioner unit did not get the right signal from the BCM and so the motor started to smoke. I ran the engine for 10 minutes and it went away. Thanks again for the advice and have a blessed day. TED
