Question about Hyundai Tiburon
I have replaced the wiper switch. I have disconnected the washer motor, and it will still blow the 25 amp fuse. Does the washer motor circuit have to be in-line at all times or system treats it as a short? The other thing I noticed, was I took washer motor apart. It had a rusted out metal piece that appeared to go across both the wire contacts. This didn't make sense to me, because that seemed to be something that would cause a short. But on the other hand, I couldn't get an ohm reading without it making contact like that.
The wiper motor is drawing to much amperage to do its job replace the wiper motor, but first disconnect the plug to inspect the connections if they are dirty clean the plug's conections with electrical contact cleaner and plug the plug in a few times to work out any corrosion if it is present on the connectors. sometimes sometimes the wiper arms can bind so after removing the wiper motor ensure that they are not binding by moving them by hand if they are offering a lot of resistance adress this issue first (lubricate or replace) to get to the clips on the wiper motor arm connections aquire a 45 degree long neck needle nose pliers the are a very handy tool to own.
