Question about 2004 Buick Rendezvous

2 Answers

Hi, I have a 2004 Buick Rendezvous CXL. I brought my car to Budapest, Hungary so have no access to experienced Buick mechanics. My local mechanic has successfully diagnosed and fixed my Rendezvous' problems until now. Yesterday I was on a long drive, over 7 hours on the road, when my car stalled at around 70mph. After pulling over for a few minutes I tried to start the car again. It started no problem and I began driving. Within 3 miles the car stalled again around 55mph. Fortunately it stalled at the exit to a rest stop in Austria and I was able to safely coast to a stop. My mechanic checked all that he could, drove the car, and could not find a problem. Anyone ideas on what to check/fix?

Thanks for the quick reply. No the engine light is not on. My Rendezvous has approximately 55,000 miles. I brought the car here over 3.5 years ago and know that the fuel filter has not been changed in that time. I don't know whether or not it was ever changed during routine maintenance prior to my bringing it here. Will changing the fuel filter help with the fuel pump's losing pressure or might I need a new fuel pump? Is there any way for my mechanic to check this? I really appreciate your help on this. Thanks!

Is your check engine light on? If not Seem to me that is a fuel related problem. How many miles on the car . Has the fuel filter been change? The fuel pump may be losing pressure. That will make it do that.

Groaning noise from rear of vehicle when turning cxl awd

Our Rendezvous groans, too. Our mechanic told us it was NOT a wheel bearing, but the rear differential. They recommended that we take it to a reputable transmission garage for service.

Does the car 2006 Buick Rendezvous towing hook?

If your asking if it came standard with towing hooks the answer is no. Although there may be Dealerships that would add them if a customer asked. It would undoubtedly be expensive.
If you are asking whether you can add them the answer is maybe.
According to the link I included. Towing hooks are not available. However if you are willing to spend the money there are options available but it will mean modifications to your SUV. It will also mean money out your pocket. You may be able to have added supports underneath and attach tow hooks there.
Personally I think a wrap around brush guard with tow hooks and trail lights is just what the mechanic ordered.
Hope this helped and good luck.
