Either air is trapped in the heater matrix of it is blocked with gunge. Check to see if there is any water in the oil, as this would suggest a blown cylinder head gasket. If no oil in the water, your thermostat make need replacing. Check to see if the temp gauge is constant and where the needle normally sits.

Good luck.

ok, its just a heat exchanger.
all that matters for heat is:

or hand IR pyro gun,,, pointed at the thermostat housing
then pointed at both heater hoses.... what do they read.

2: the hot water must flow through the core, must.

3: air must flow through said core. (damper or dirt blocking core)

How do I get the front heater to produce warm, hot heat from the blower? for 2003 kia sedona

If the heater hoses for the front heater are getting hot, it could be a blend door problem under the dash.

The blower works and a/c works but no heat comes out

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox

No heat in cab. Blower working fine.

Make sure that you have enough coolant in the system and that it is getting to the heater core. Also make sure that the blend door on the heater box under the dash is moving from cold to hot. Also make sure that the temperature knob on the console is actually turning to the hot side and not turning.

2000 Chrysler Town & Country , no heat, blower fan working fine

Probably one of two things. First make sure that your coolant level is full. If the coolant is not flowing properly you won't get heat. If you begin to get heat while driving, but only when you are excelerating, this is your problem. If that is not it you may need to change the thermostat. This is noot hard as long as it is easy to get to and it should be easy.

2001durango slt no heat in front

I have a 2001 Black Durango that had the same problem. There is a resister to the right of the ac/heat blower (underneath the dash on passaenger side). This needs to be replaced. You might want to replace the motor as well. Both are real easy. I had replaced the resister first and everthing worked fine for about 6 months and then my ac/heat would only works on high. I replaced the motor and now it works just fine. The resister was about $15 at dealership and the motor is prob around $40-$50. I hopes this helps. Good Luck!
