Load poping noise coming from front axel on my side by side. Anyone know what this is?

Loud poping noise and a slight binding feel comes from left fron axel area on prowler. Doesnt matter if its in 4x4 or not, and doesnt happen all the time. Also, there is now a small puddle of gear lube on the garage floor near the center of the front differental. Cant tell exactly where from, because of the skid plate, and too cold right now to really get into it. Has anyone had similiar problem, and what did you do about it? thanks.

I would check the hubs and make sure nothing is broken internally. Otherwise, you'll have to look at that front diff. If the oil leak is something new, you may have broken a ring or pinion gear in the differential. The pieces would be binding inside the housing, causing more damage. I would not drive it until it can be looked at, to limit any further damage.

Automatic 4x4 locking hubs one side not locking in

There is a possibility the axel U-joint is binding, this will put side load on the hubs and keep them from working properly. Turn the steering wheel either far right or left and with front of truck off the ground or the front end disengaged, see if the axel shafts turn free, both sides. If there is binding the U-joint(s) will have to be replaced.

My 2002 Altima has a squeeling noise coming from the left side of vehicle anytime i drive over 60 mph. Anyone know what this noise is?

My first reponse would be to remove ***********-in-law from the rear seat. LOL

Try applying the brakes lightly, does the squealing stop? If so it could simply be worn brake pads on that side however, this will usually happen a slow speeds as well. Another possibility could be your CV joint. Crawl under the vehicle on that side and check for a torn CV boot (rubber boot around the axel shaft where it comes out of the transmission/ or rear end and attaches to the spindle (wheel).

Loud thump near front left wheel when turning left

from the left??? passenger or driver side... this maybe a CV boot problem depending on what side you are speaking of. A CV would be the Ujoint for front wheel drives
