Check the fuses first. If i remember correctly, there should be a 15 amp fuse in spot #17 in the fuse box under the drivers side dash. This controls the Delayed ACC. COIL, battery saver, and front and rear interior lamps.

Does the car have an aftermarket stereo installed? If the previous owners messed with the wiring to the doors to rewire the speakers it is possible they happened to snip the door ajar wires. It's a long shot, but something could have gone awry with it. Also lay down on your back in the drivers side with your head by the pedals and look up under the dash with a flashlight to see if anything looks modified. some people snip through stupid wires to try to hook up amplifiers and stereos in search of the ignition/remote connection. if you see electrical tape, cuts in the wires, wire caps, etc you should correct it if you're comfortable with it. If not, go ahead and take it to a mechanic to fix the wiring.

There's a little switch that the door pushes in.This switch is visible and accessible. If it has a nut on it, or if it looks like it can be pulled out, then take it out, and cut one or both of the wires. Cap them to prevent them from touching. This will permanently disable the switch.
Else you can replace the switch.
This solution is not good if you are facing the same problem with all the door.
Thanks
Smith

With the key off the dash lights stay on but when you open the door the go off but if you shut it again they come back on

With the door left open, open and close the door on the opposite side. If it works correctly, then you have a bad "door switch" (that little button mounted on either the front or rear jam pillar) on the "problem door" side.

Radio does not go off when key is out of ignition and door is shut

You are on the right track...the problem appears to be on the driver side rear door actuator switch...locate this spring loaded sensor usually on the inside of the door by the hinges...spray it with PB Blastor, or WD 40...(Blastor works better) and move the switch back and forth...this should loosen up the sticking actuator and return your Buick to normalcy...Hope this helps

The interior ligts on my 1989 corvette coupe stays on all the time

make sure the interior light switch is turned off so they only come on when the door is opened(this happens alot),the next thing is it could be a door switch that has a problem thinking its open.you could also have a headlight switch that has an internal problem like a short that is allowing power to the interior light wire circuit of the switch causing the interior lights to stay on.

I HAE A 2002 VOLKWAGEN GTI DRIVER SIDE INTERIOR LIGTS ALSO THE DOOR OPEN INDICATOR LIGHT ON DASH SHOWS DOOR OPEN

Hello there. If you are having those problems i am led to believe that the sensor switch of the driver door is faulty or has come loose. With the door open look for a little button. this button is usually sticking out of the frame on the car. Some vehicles have this button on the door as well. If you dont see a button that means that the switch is in the door lock mechanism. Some VW's have the switch in the lock mechanism, which makes it a pain to replace. Below are pictures of the two different types, Button and lock style.

It sounds like the dome light circuit is not properly grounded. and when you open the door, the power is feeding back through the interior light, some ground got disconnected.

Interior lights, lights on rearview mirrow aren't shutting off.

Spray some WD40 into the latches on the side of the doors then open and close the doors several times firmly. This will unstick the door adjar switch most of the time.Start with drivers door first.

Interior Light sometimes will not shut off in Ford Ranger Pick up

If I am not mistaken, the plunger is located in the door with the latch. Most of the time you can just pull the door panel off and adjust the switch. After opening and closing the door, they get knocked out of adjustment. I sincerely hope that this helped you. Take care and best wishes.
