where is the fuse box for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Your answer was unfortunately, not helpful. Please let me know where the fuse box is so I may disconnect the tape/cd/radio. Thank you for your help and patience.

No offense intented. I am leaving for OBX via this vehicle, am obviously not mechanically inclined and am very PO'd. I appreciate your help and patience.

Thank you for your help and patience. I have to figure out a way to pull the fuse out but appreciate your quick response. Worse comes to worst, my battery will die and I have to call Triple A. No worries. Thank you again.

The mechanism inside the cassete deck is stuck in the play position. This often happens after a cassete has failed to eject properly. If the deck has an electrical eject mechanism the switch that controls this has failed internally and the unit will require service.

If the unit has a more basic mechanical eject system you can often resolve this by removing the unit then opening it and triggering the internal lever to force a proper eject within the mechanism. This will stop the spindles turning.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many Thanks.

Your fuse box is under your dash to the left of the steering wheel. The fuse you will have to remove to turn the Radio/Cassette off is F30 - should be a blue 15 Amp fuse.

Thank you for clarifying your question. Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Thanks.

Mytape deck is stuck and i cant put a cassette in it. How do i fix it?

Getting that radio out of the dash is a chore. Taking the radio itself apart is worse. Have a shop give you an estimate.

wow a working cassette?
why not upgrade, go to walfart get a deck with USB port
and use USB mem stick with 4000 song on it.
and dont look back.
if compelled , take this deck to any repair shop
and they will charge you more than the walfart solution
easy choice, huh?

sounds to me like your tape belt in the other motor has broke ,the drive for the tape deck has a rubber band putting it crudely and these belts are a special rubber ,it should be a easy repair but make sure you get the right size rubber band but they must be made for a tape deck and not one from office draw

I put a tape in and it keeps flipping sides without playing and pops out and says Error. It even does it with a CD-Cassette Adapter. Before the Cln came up and I pressed on the eject button and that...

Cassette decks have sensors on the reels which tells the deck when the tape is at the end. When the reel stops the deck switches the direction of the tape and sometimes the position of the head(depending on the deck design). Most common problem is the tape is hard to turn, or the deck won't turn it ( deck thinks it's at the end, click, still won't turn, click, won't turn, click) you should fast forward and/or rewind your tapes from start to finish once in a while to keep them lined up(narrow spool/less friction), you shouldn't have to but it works. BUT,...your problem sounds like a slipping or broken belt/or dirt causing the problem. Take the deck out to have a look and clean the capstans(rubber rollers)belts, heads with alcohol and a Q-tip while your at it. Dirt's usually the main culprit and if you do have some other problem, cleaning it is always a win/win (It will also sound better clean)

You need to take out the cassette deck from the car. open the cassette deck by removing the various screws, once open, there is a small plastic gear which you need to wind manually which will slowly release the cassette.
