How to stop side windows running off the window guides

You may have to open the door card - the trim on the inside of the door. Do this by removing the arm rest - two screws on the underside, remove door handle - one screw on the bezel underneath the handle - and the window winder - usually just a screw holding the handle on the winder mechanism.
Carefully pry the card loose along the edges, it is clipped to the door with plastic clips. Remove the dust cover - a plastic cover stuck on with reusable glue.
Check the winder mechanism, it has probably come loose on one end. It usually works off a large half- gear which is actuated by a small pinion on the handle, unless it is an electric window.
A longish arm pushes the window up. This arm is usually mounted to a metal bar which has to be mounted on both ends of the bottom of the window glass frame. If one end wears out or becomes loose for some reason the window will do as you describe,

How to remove rear door glass?

Remove Inner door panel, usually, the door handle has a screw, behind the lever, on the inside, and may be covered by a plastic cover, take the screw out, and move the handle forward, then take, the side on clip, off, the rod.
remove, any inside door handles, screw to door, and then starting from the bottom, pull the panel towards you, unsnapping, the plastic clipps, holding them on the door.
Roll window down, till you can see the 2 nuts, holding the bottom of the window.
Now, run the window mechanism, all the way down, away from window, while holding window.
Now it is loose, twist the window, inside the door, front down, back up, so, it comes out, the top
Put back, same way

1999 s70 volvo driver door won't open from outside or inside

I am working on this RIGHT NOW. Remove panel (see Utube) remove white cover (Torx 25) from interior of exterior handle. You will see that lifting the handle pushes a rod down The rod is attached to the bottom half of the mechanism via a cheapo plastic connection, that can work loose. It is like a screw shaft (top) that squeezes (sideways) into a blue plastic channel which merely pinches the "screw shaft" to hold it. The connection has come loose. Squeeze upper shaft into (lower) blue channel. Added tiny bit of epoxy to bond "screw shaft" onto blue plastic gripper. Done. Saved $500.

Look closely for any "lift up" type flap or cover on the door handle covering the screw hole as unless the door handle is not removed, the door panel will not come off. Make sure you also have removed all the push clips used to hold the door panel.

Driver side door handle (outside) and gas pedal 2000 Camry

Bring the vehicle into the dealer if you have a sticky gas pedal. This is a TOYOTA PROBLEM.
Door handle:
It easy ! You need a philips2_bing.gif and flat screw driver, and a needle nose pliar.
Use flat screw driver and pry out the two or three dust covers for the arm rest screws then use philips and remove the screws. Next use the flat screw driver and pry out the black plastic mirror cover from the inside of the door. Pry out the switch with the flat screw driver and disconnect it. On the side of the door panel just above the striker/loch mechanism is this plastic push pull type of a hold in screw. Use flat screw driver to get it to move a little then pull it out with the needle nose. Depending on which door your doing if you have a map folder in the door there are two more screw to remove on the bottom of the door.
Now the inside door handle is tricky it comes out in TWO pieces. Use philips and get the only hold down screw you see out.( you may have to pry out a little screw cover first) Now the inside door handle cover is removed by placeing the flat screw driver on the rear of the outside of the cover top and on the outside rear bottom to release the tangs that are holding it onto the panel.Pry it out lightly you may have to place the screw driver over the top of the door release button and pry that way. Don't loose your cool its a pain but it will fall out. Once its removed unhook the panel.

Next lift the plastic cover and remove the door handle hooks and levers . Basically use common sense this is easy stuff. There may be two screws from inside of door panel that keep handle in place . Then work handle loose from outside and inside . reverse for installation.

Trying to remove 2000 Yukon rear door panel. removed screw on very bottom and one in middle of door. are there more than two screws holding it under the arm rest? I tried prying but it seems very tight...

There are three if we are talking about the same thing.  One at the bottom under the side bin.  One behind the rubber handle above the door latch (this is a long screw).  One behind the window switches. Pry up on the inside seem (long edge), it should come up and then out. The screw is behind it.

How to remove front driver side door panel (2000 ford expedition)

There is a triangular piece, at top corner, covering a screw behind the mirror. Remove that screw. Remove the piece that covers the handle and remove the screw holding the handle to the door. Look through, where door handle was and remove another screw just above where the handle was. This screw is holding the panel to the actual door. Pop the cover off for the automatic door locks and disconnect them. Lift the panel in an upward direction.

The sliding door handles of my 1998 Toyota Sienna have both broken.

I replaced both of my sliding door handles this weekend. It was actually pretty easy. Cheapest I could find the handles was a little over $70 each. The interior panel is held on with one screw and 10 nylon clips. The one screw is in the cup holder. Put you hand in the cup holder and push out at the bottom. It pops right off exposing the one screw. I started on the clips from the top at a corner. Seemed to be the easiest place to slide a screw driver under. Once I got the screw driver in, I started working my fingers under the panel. The clips run mostly along the top and bottom about 6 inches from the edge. I made an effort to apply the force as close to the clips as I could to reduce flexing the panel. Once I got the first clip to pop out the other followed pretty easy and the panel lifted right off. Carefully peel back the plastic barrier. The exterior handle is held on with two 10mm bolts. Connecting the short cable was pretty obvious once you could see everything. Now I have to teach everyone to open the side doors very gently! Hope this helps.
