Can you please clarify "Junk" What is it doing now? Can you get the Check engine codes read?

Have you at least had it scanned for fault codes? Apparently most of the major autoparts places will do it free, at least then you have a direction of what may be problem. Get back with codes & we'll see if we can help.

Sounds like your not in fuel control. Spark plugs are fouling out. You may need a 02 sensor and new plugs, You may also have a Map sensor bad or unplugged or the vacuum line to it is plugged. Also you may have to high fuel pressure or the return line is blocked if applicable..
If all this fails to resolve this you may have dripping injectors. Take a spark plug out to see if your running rich, Are they wet and sooty.

Feels like bad gas. Car stood a lot of summer. Filled up with high test. Helped for a couple days, then this morning bad again. On start up from stop, very rough.. but after it gets going, it's better....

Hello, If your engine light is on, you have a problem. You can get FREE scans at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys autoparts stores.

The gas can have something to do with your problem as well as the additive. Most likely you have an O2 sensor gone bad. When the sensors work, they make adjustments to the timing in the engine. If your O2 sensors are bad, even one, then the engine can not adjust to the fuel.

If you have an 2004-2008 model V-8 with double cams, there are additional problems with a part called a "Cam Phaser". Should your scan reveal a phaser problem, Ford has an additional mileage and length of coverage Warranty in effect. The "Cam Phaser" can affect rough idle and running in the V-8 engine.

I hope my solution is helpful to you.

When my SLP light comes on, my 2002 Altima will not accelerate. When it goes off the car operates fine but the check engine light stays on. what does the car need if the SLP light comes on from time to...

On many nissan altimas I have found bad ignition coils. Usually one bad one will creat a problem. The slp gets gounded through the ignition coil. When the ignition coil is going bad it shorts out other systems. Go to autozone or use a method to retrieve check engine light. If i knew the code it would be helpful. When the car is running rough disconnect one ignition coil with car off. Restart car. If car runs worse that means that coil is good. repeat process. If you have one coil disconnected and the car runs the same that means that ignition coil is not sending spark to your spark plug therefore creating a misfire and making your car run rough. That check engine light is most like likely linked to your slp light. If you find a bad coil using this teqnique replace it, your car will run better. I would like to know your check engine codes and this will determine problem better. If you have a misfire code or a po1300 code that points towards a bad coil

My engine runs like the timing is off when I rev it or push down on the gas pedal. 3.5L V6. The engine runs smooth when the rpm's are low, in town driving. When rpm's go high, like climbing a hill, the...

This could be a TPC valve or sensor. That is a throtel position control. Your engine will idle or run at low speed fine or in stop and go traffic but highway driving or climbing a hill when the demand changes to heavy or light consumption it will surge the engine as it can't get a good read on what it is suppose to do. This is a resonable priced part and for about twenty bucks for a CHILTON manuel for your car it will give you step by step instructions on this and almost any project you want to try yourself. They will have these at your autoparts store.

My 1998 Olds 88 has been stalling and running rough.

Check and clean the IAC valve. Idle Control Valve. Use brake cleaner or carburater cleaner . Remove the duct work from the air filter assembly. It is located just inside . Run the engine at 1200 rpms and spray the valve. The valve can also be removed and cleaned.
