It is most likely the coolant. It is most likely leaking from your intake manifold gasket.

2.7l engine, left bank at rear of engine on top of intake. two wire connector orang w/green strip and black wire. what/where does it connect to

Could be many things. Orange/green is a power wire, black is ground. Black could be a engine ground or ECM ground. Orange/green is power. 12 Volts. Check engine light on? If not, some plugs don't go to anything. They use one harness for many different models. Yours may not have this option.

Orange liquid leaking under the car

That would be either Antifreeze or trans fluid. Neither is good to lose. Your should check the fill levels of both fluids. The leak must be stopped.

In order not to damage it by driving, have someone look at it at home or tow it into a Repair shop.

1989 ciera orange wire going to the oil pressure switch was accidently grounded. Will turn over backfire but not start . Fuel pump won't power up. No power to fuel pump relay. Took relay apart manually...

You didn't post an engine size but you are correct in thinking there is a fusible link that blew when you grounded the orange wire but there is also an inline fuse that protects the oil pressure switch and the fuel pump relay. It is usually located on the firewall.

You can check the fusible links near the starter for continuity. If one of them is burnt up start there by replacing it. If none of them are bad you will need to find the inline fuse. At least the 3.3 liter engine is set up this way.

Traveling at an estimated speed of 70 mph, car lost acceleration. Slowed to a stop. Ignition turns over, battery initiates, no 'fire' to engine. Fuel pump not the problem...

No fire? There probably is fire, but out of time or some liquid (water, oil, PS fluid, etc.) got into the distributor cap and the rotor fire is shorting (sparking) to ground through the liquid.
Check spark anyway, pull a plug cable and set down on metal part of engine ground. Ahve someone crank starter while you look for spark from end of sparkplug cable to ground.

Disconnect the thin wire on the suspension pump , this is the overheat switch which sticks at times. If it's working after that use a solution of dish liquid and water and spray this all over the pipes, connectors and air springs to find your leak.
