I'm thinking vacuum, but my 65' chiltons doesn't say. Can you see any vacuum like hoses in behind? One way of confirming is try opening/on & closing/off a few times when engine not running.

The 1965 Corvette has electric operated headlights that are activated by
a headlamp motor control switch mounted at the bottom left of dash. You can also operate the headlamps manually by rolling a small wheel in the front grille. I changed out the switch and my lights opened and closed fine.

1979 c-3 vette headlight fix

Check fuses to make sure the resettable fuse has not failed. It is one of the small metal box like items in the fuse block. Also check the wiring to make sure it is not damaged, and if the lights come on but do not flip into position, check to make the motor has not failed- either worn brushes, or corroded bearings. Worst case is to manually rotate them open by the knob at the bottom of the motor. This can five you an idea of bearing condition as well. And as always, check the ground wires to make sure they did not break off.,

Carborator fuel drain pontiac gto 1964 tripower

Have you ever seen a fuel drain on anything
but power equipment, small engines

I assume you have & are looking at a tripower
carb set up

Why would you need a drain?

I was around & had brand new 65 vette,327/365 carb

I never bought the 1964 GTO, because I wanted
the HI Pro 421 & it only went to the nascar & professional
super stock drag teams.

Transmision stuck in 2nd gear

Either shift linkage or most likely you will
have to pull the trans & replace all the synchros

Other than pulling it out
The trans is fairly easy to do

Ordered a new 65 vette back then
Had it apart all the time, for 8 years
Everything but the body off

Would rather live in the 1960's, than
in this mess we have today

2004 vette, I have an engine analyzer module,

It should be right near the steering column under the dash. They are usually easily accessible -- I've never known GM to hide them. It may be behind a trim panel.

Removing the whole pop head lights assembly from my 1997 corvette

Raise the headlights, either with the switch or manually by turning the knob on the headlight motor counter-clockwise.
Unplug the lights NOW to avoid an accidental closing on your fingers,
Remove the 3 philips screws holding the black plastic surrounding the headlights, and slide it forward, there is a small clip on the top that helps hold it to a corresponding clip at the top of the headlight,
Look inside the cavity and you can see the 5 nuts/bolts ( 6 on later years ) that need to be removed,
If you are on the driver's side you can now remove the whole assembly, on the passenger's side you must first unplug the headlight door control module.
