Mercedes dealer are telling me that in my cata converter there is a part that just melt, an it Will cost me a lot of money for replacement.

The problem; I filled up my truck with gaz. So they flushed it and change the filter and the car was running. The car was smelly and was dripping Diesel. I got stuck again on the road so that they had to tow me again. They said there was a hose that was badly installed. Will that be possible that because of the hose there was not sufficient Diesel going in the cata that would have cause the problem.

The dealer is asking me almost 3,000.00 for 5 yrs. of pre paid maintenance on my 2010 class C 300 mercedes benz, is it better to pay every year or 10000 mi. for the maintenance, or i am realy going to save...

depending on the mileage and all, the cost can vary. I can tell you that you do not have to have the dealer servicing your car and buy their package, though. There are companies with way less overhead that can offer the same (if not better) service that you will get from the dealer.. and guess what.. Sometimes the dealerships are even on the lists of 'approved' service facilities.

I used to sell cars, and I would always put a warranty on them to protect my customers (as well as myself). I never had a problem with sites like this one: http://bit.ly/dTgYIN

I would like to buy c220 cdi avangrade year 2001 what is the most importance think i must cheack on that car ? Buy the way i`m from malaysia the milelage of the car is around 90,000 km.

It's cant say any particular thing as every thing are very important, so best way to do talk with owner and get the car to Mercedes dealer workshop which is the near by your place and tell service adviser your requirement then they will give you a very advance report that's the best way to do it becouse if any simple thing wrong it will cost you too much money for fixing, if you spend little money for checking it worth for you than spend big money for repair, Is this information helped you?

How involved is it to replace the driver's side catalytic converter? card edaler wants $1,200, but i've seen some converters for around $250.

Take your car to a qualified exhaust shop and ask for an OEM or same quality catalytic converter, it would be a LOT cheaper than the dealer one and you will get the same performance. Remember most car dealers make their money from maintainance services.

2003 diamante cat converter

yes you can take it to a muffler shop and either have it drilled out or replaced. They are bad when they are clogged, so if you are in a state that requires no inspections then I would just have it drilled out to unclog it. it's a whole lot cheaper than the dealer is telling you.

Front suspension strut (L)

It must be replaced with remanufactured or new one.
Mercedes dealer will charge you a lot to fix it. $2880 or $3000 is about right. However if you take it to independent, qualifying German car repair shop, the cost will be less because they can locate the replacement part cheaper and charge less since their overhead cost is less than at the dealer.
