It should be a little black hose coming out of the firewall and aiming down, on the bottom of the passenger side firewall.

I would have a quick inspection of the brake lines, to see for a squished or bent line. If lines look good then it rilly only leaves the ABS unit (big square aloy block with lots of hoses coming out of it) unless the master brake cylinder is separated.

I have a 2002 mitsubishi lancer es, my ac doesnt work on 1 2 or 3 but it does on 4.

Do you mean that the fan does not work on 1,2,3? If so, there's a resistor network (in the switch assembly I think in the 2002) that has failed.

You'll need to remove the fan switch assembly to inspect this. If its broken, locate a replacement at a wrecker.

If the fan does work on all settings, then there's an issue with the AC system, probably low refrigerant level. You may be able to get the system repressurized if the leak is not too severe.

Can you tell me where the ac evaporator drain is on a 2002 mitsubishi montero ltd is? I have moisture dripping from the evaporator case inside the vehicle and suspect external drain is plugged, but cant...

Look right under the evap box, exactly where the ac lines go in the fire wall,it might even have a drip boot on it,it will come out of the fire wall, and turn down, the end will be sort of mashed together to keep out debris.

Go to your local wrecking yard--if they don't have one, they can find one.

2002 mitsubishi lancer ac does not blow cold and will continue to

Sounds like either the a/c relay is bad or a/c compressor clutch is not disengaging. Look on the compressor for an electrical connector, and if you can, unplug it. That should stop the battery drain. I would suggest taking the car into a good a/c shop to have the compressor looked at. The clutch can be replaced without having to buy a new compressor.

Same happening here

I have a '03 Lancer that had the exact same problem. I pretty much had it down to a formula based on temp., humidity, cloudiness, etc. as to when the AC would work or not. I took it to a couple of shops and they couldn't figure it out. I finally took it to the dealer and they quoted about $1000 to fix, said "no way." Anyway, it turns out that both the AC clutch coil and AC thermostat needed replacing. I found a shop that fixed me up for less than $350. Works like brand new again. Hope that helps and good luck.
