Tap the regulator motor with a rubber hammer a few times then try switch again.

Check for power to the motor itself if you can get to the plug. If no power, the harness between the door & jamb may have a broken wire. If that's not it,I'm pretty sure there's a screw on the bottom of the motor you can turn to raise the glass.

It is a hydraulic pump that applies pressure to the 2 hydraulic pistons to raise & lower the top. So, check for something obstructing movement first.

The convertible top:
  • is motor-driven.
  • requires parking brake engaged to complete circuit for operation.
  • is equipped with a back window glass (42006) . The back window glass is permanently attached to the folding top back window curtain (52500) and cannot be opened.

1999 ford mustang gt, location of driver side window fuse

Both windows are fused from the same location. Most likely the window motor has gone out or a malfunction this the track mechanism. Check to make sure the window switch in the door handle is good first. Take the switch out, take the wires off the back of switch and jump the wires/connectors together. If window works, replace switch. If all you hear is motor hum or no sound from motor, motor is bad. Window motors usually start to slow down (window rolls up slowly) before they go out.

Drivers side window will not roll up,passenger side works just fine there no clicking sound when you try to raise drivers side, fuses are ok

In certain Ford cars (you didn't say WHICH Ford vehicle you have), the motor that drives the power window has a plastic nut in it that facilitates the movement of the glass. Over time, this plastic nut will wear away and eventually won't turn the regulator (which makes the glass move up and down on its track). You can remove the motor, open up the casing of the motor, put in a metal nut and it will work again. I forgot the size of the nut, but they are common and can be found in a parts store for less than a dollar.

'97 mustang coupe driver's window switch to raise passenger window isn't working. what are the possible reasons and are there any I can take care of?

if it raises the window from the passenger side switch, then its not the motor, i would look into replacing the switch on the driver door, and make sure all wiring is in tact

Driver's electric window not working - stuck down

TAKE POWER TO AND FROM SWITCH. IF GOOD. YOU WILL NEED A WINDOW MOTOR

I can closed the back passenger window

IF you can, separate the rubber/felt window seals and see if you can see the top of the window glass. IF you can - use a pair of needle nose pliers and attempt to carefully pull up - making sure you do not crack (shatter) the glass. Once enough glass is exposed - use your fingers to pull-up. While you are pulling--up attempt to raise (up) the window with the window switch. There may be a dead spot on the motor, by pulling-up you advance the motor beyond the dead spot, and the motor MAY re-engage.
IF you can't get the glass up with needle nose pliers, try pushing down on the glass (being careful again) while engaging the window switch to raise (up). Again the idea is to get the motor from the dead spot.
Another way: While engaging the window switch to raise the window - bang (hard) on the door - in various spots to attempt to "vibrate" the motor to engage.
Last but not least: Remove the Inner Door Panel and raise the window by hand, again using the window switch to (maybe) assist you.
I have also (but painfully): separated the window seals and got a piece of duct tape down onto the glass, using a long screw driver to adhere enough of the tape to the glass enough to pull up on the glass. It worked but it needs careful hand control on your part. GO Duct Tape!

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee and the left passenger window has been "stuck", in the up position, for some time. Today, my daughter hit the power button and the window went down. Unfortunatly, it won't...

sounds like a loose wiring around the switch. take off the door panel accesorys untill u get to the switch panel check the connections and if good and problem persists then install another switch

window regulator sound bad. Very common problem in Fords. Motor is trying to grab on the nylon strap that makes the window go up and down but the teeth on the strap break off .
