Should be 2 bolts to loosen on front & one on back of bracket I believe, then pull up on pump to tighten, and snug rear bolt first to hold, then re-tighten all.

I installed a new powersteering pump on a 88 gmc k1500, now it eats serpentine belts cant get the pullies lined up right how do i fix?

I would install a reman pump,never try & remove a pully
The pump wasn't the problem

Your problem is most likely that the crank damper has
worn & moved. The rubber in it is the issue & it is hard
to see any misalignment

Im having trouble getting my water pump off on my 1995 pontiac bonneville i have 7/8 bolts off i have one that is stuck benind the power stearing pully

The powersteering pully may have to come off. Do this by unbolting the powersteering bracket and gently moving it aside.

This is the best way to move it out of the way. Makes sure the hoses on the powersteering unit are not kinked in this process. If need be, use some small rope or twine or even a metal coat hanger to tie it upward to keep the lines straight.

Please, let me know if you need further assistance.

How do I tighten the belts on my 1991 toyota landcruiser to keep from making any slipping noise? Belt only slips when I'm turning sharp in either direction.

this sounds like the powersteering unit busy saying cheers. check your powersteering fluid is topped up. keeping it topped up would keep this from slipping. the belt is tighten to the right degree. I'm sure it's just the fluid. otherwise an early sign that the powersteering system is packing up. good luck
