Replaced the signal switch in my 2000 sunfire and the turn signals still don't work?

2000 Pontiac sunfire has an interesting issue; the wires corrode in the wiring harness. I'm not sure about just turn signals, it is usually multiple issues. Maybe your driving lights quit too? and maybe you windshield wipers? Start out by running a ground wire from the engine to the firewall; maybe attach (to experiment ) a ground wire to one of the mounting bolts on your windshield wiper motor. I'm guessing the ground is gone.

Quits when you put it into gear

You sure you have the timing right? sounds like you have the timing chain off a tooth or bad tensioner. or your spark order is off.

Classic bad ground to the fuel pump...Mine did it untill I hard wired it to a switch with a power light. Car stalls light out I throw the switch and im in control but remember to shut it off or your battery will be dead lol.

I have a 2000 sunfire, since its been cold out ive had to have my car jumped 5 times for it to start. is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening anymore?

Sounds like your Battery is not fully charging...(magnified in cold weather:) If your sunfire turns over slowly the next time you are trying to start after you have jumped it again...your battery is most likely the problem...While your car is running, you can drive to your local Auto Parts store...(Auto Zone) for a free battery test...Other items to check would be clean battery post connections on your sunfire...the alternator might not be fully charging your battery, but doesn't sound like your problem...Have your battery checked so will not be stranded with this problem...:)

While driving my battery light came on followed closely with the ABS light & brake light. Then the speedometer, odometer & tachometer quit working. Now it won't start.

Sounds like the car was running on just the battery. Recharge the battery with a plug-in battery charger, then see what happened to the charging circuit--alternator, drive belt, blown fuse--loose wire. This should have set the check engine light.

Ignition coil or Ignition control module I would look towards the ignition control module.I had a 91 cavelier do the samething exact same and i tried everything to try and fix it,it turned out that it was the ignition control module. There will be 2 coils mounted onto that plate. It ran good till it warmed up,once warmed up it would stall and spitt and sputter,if left for awhile would start up and go good untill it warmed back up.Once the module would get warm it would quit working untill it cooled down
