I pulled the fuse on my v w golf 1.6 now the air bag light is on

You probably pulled the air bag fuse as well ? Try replacing that fuse (with the correct type ofcourse) ... Could also try disconnecting the battery afterwards for like a minute (that will reset any faultcode). When the warning light still comes on, you still have a problem and I would suggesting reading the faultcodes using OBD.

Deactivate the air bag by removing the air bag fuses. Look in your car owners manual to locate the fuses

How do I get my traction off light and ABS light to go off?

When certain systems (anti-lock brakes, traction control or air bag) detect a problem (like low system voltage due to a bad alternator) the computer sets a fault code and turns on the light. The light often will not go out until the fault code is cleared from the computer's memory.
Try disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery for 1 minute and then re-installing it. This will erase the computer's memory and erase the fault codes set when the alternator failed. If the two lights come back on, that means that there is a problem in the systems (they are inter-connected). Check all the fuses to make sure that a fuse which might supply power to these two systems did not blow out when the alternator failed. Replace any bad fuses. If the lights still stay on, you will need to take it to a mechanic for diagnosis and repair.

I need the fuse box diagram

1. Run codes for the air bag light. This is a hard fault and must be remedied to make the light go out. Nothing you do in the fuse box will fix this.

2. Intermittent interior lights are most likely to be caused by bad door jamb switches. And again nothing you do in the fuse box will fix this.

Hope this was of help.

Can I disable my passenger side airbag?

Pull your airbag fuse out (It might be labeled Airbag, or SRS)
This will have your airbag warning light stay on in your dash, until you put the fuse back in.

WARNING : I did NOT tell you that... Don't worry there is no way the air bags can go off just by removing or replacing the fuse, but I'm just covering my bases here. In the event of an accident, I don't want to be the guy that told you to pull the fuse out (this disables both air bags), if you do pull the fuse you are responsible for that action if, god forbid, something happens.

Air bag light is on and cruise control, lighter and horn don't work. There is a mechanism I'm sure in the steering wheel that needs to be changed. Is it dangerous to drive until I get it...

im dave
if the air bag light is on that means the system is disabled. If you dont mind driving without an airbag than i would say it is no more dangerous than driving a pre air bag vehicle and those inherent dangers. Remember howevere that an air bag is a secondary resttraint system and should always be used in conjunction with the primary restraint system...your seatbelts.

Trouble light

Hi. There,
ON your honda accord.
the Srs light come when the computer detect a problem with the system, but never go off until you fix the problem and reset the computer,
When the light is on, yhe SRS or air bags are deactivated if you have an accident the air bags don't will deploy and you don't gonna be protected.
Check when the light come on or if you have idea why com on.

If you know a little of cars or mechanic work.
You can read the codes on your car, using Self diagnostic yellow connector behind the instrument panel fuse box. reading the blinking of the SRS light.

If you can do letme know i can give the step to do...

I hope this information will good for you.

Thanks for using fixya.

94 Concorde electrical

I have a similar problem with my 94 concorde... and was advised the on board computer was in need of replacement. Further research led to pulling the computer and cleaning the ground connection to the chassis. It will sometimes leak under the computer and corrode, and compromise the ground, which in turn will cause faulty "code" readings and the engine control light to come on.
