Question about 1991 Chevrolet Corvette
I have a 1991 Corvette and the radio makes a wining sound but plays no music on any channel. Also, the cassette player does not work either. The speakers look fine.
You will need to replace the amplifier curcuit boards located whithin the speaker unit. They are suseptible to heat and wear out with age, very normal for the bose system. New amplifiers can be purchase through corvette vendors like Corvette Central or Mid America Motor Works or even ebay. On my 91 it was the front speakers that had to be replaced only. Took about 30 minutes to remove, had to wait for new boards a week or so and about 30 minutes to reinstall.
