The engine cooling fan(s) are designed to come on around 220-230 (+or- 5%) Degrees Fahrenheit, have the factory service manual on this so this is correct

Will the temperature sending unit make my 2000 pontiac grand prix shut off

Don't think so... I had one 2004 prix that lost it's coolant and it ran until it destroyed itself... Had another that would hit red on temp during the summer in the desert mountains. Never shut down on me though.... replaced the radiator, water pump and thermostat. My fans kick on about 3/4 of the temp gauge. Normal temp is between 1/2 & 3/4.

it could be the temp sensor, the company that makes that vehicle has alot of issues with dash electrical connections, but i would start with the temp sensor that would cause the fan to kick on and stay on

1992 grand am,I had noticed a puddle of antifreeze where i parked my car, coming from waterpump,I then replaced waterpump and thermostat, flushed radiater 3 times, reconect hoses, battery negative cable,then...

Sounds like you still have air in the system..Does the vehicle have any bleeder screws on the thermostat housing or around the waterpump area..If it does open them up until you get a good stream coming out

Hello , i had replace the radiator fan relay and the fan wont kick on. i had jump the the fan with the battery to see if the fan motor is still working ,which it still is. is there anything else i would...

Most fans are designed to turn on only when the engine temp reaches a certain degrees and even then it will only turn on till it brings the engine temp down then it will turn off and it will cycle in this manner.I ask you why did you change out the fan relay was your jeep overheating?

Rad. fan not kicking on replaced relay and fan on 2000jeep grand cherkeoo

Check the temp sensor. Whatever tells your fan to turn on at certain temps is not doing its job.

3.1 L Grand Prix-cooling fan won't kick on, new fan motor-all fuses OK-temp when driving cools OK with AC fan on. Where are the relays ?

probably not a relay, check the coolant temp sensor to make sue its reading ok,if its misreading it will not tell the computer to turn the fan on

Cooling fans inop 2002 grand prix

Couple things.
Temp. sensor may be shot, which usually tells fans to kick on at appropriate temp. Fan may be physically shot from usage. With car OFF, see if you can spin blade FREELY. It shouldn't turn hard at all, if so, fan bearings shot. Hard to say if MIL is related to this.

The radiator fan is not working in my 1999 Dodge Grand´s 3.3l engine.

First is your engine getting up to temp? if not check for a stuck open thermostat. Second with engine up to temp (where fan kicks on) check for voltage at the fan, If 12vdc present replace fan, If 0vdc present check fuses and relays.
