3.3 engines has the egr valve with transducer.you have to replace the whole unit. code p0406 what its trying to tell you your egr valve circuit is short to ground.it has failed .

try this. set the parking brake firmly, then turn the key from off to on 3 or 5 times, if this doesn't work try the same thing with the gear selector in Neutral,the codes should read out on the digital odometer
