Start with cleaning the throttle body inside and IAC motor. Check the air filter, Dirty, replace it. After this look at the coil or ignition module.

SOURCE: engine shakes and hesitate when started until it idles down

Sounds like its missing on 1 or more cylinders. A check of the plugs and wires is in order, Could be a fouled plug or a loose/bad sparkplug wire. Best of luck.

SOURCE: motor hesitation only when it is cold once engine

It might be your ECT sensor (engine coolant temperature sensor). Usally you can mesure the resistance and the voltage of the ECT sensor. You need a chart which says the Resistance versus the Temperature versus Voltage. EXEMPLE : at 120celsius, voltage should 0,27volts and the resistance should be 1,18Kohms ...etc. (this is only an exemple)

My 1999 Cherokee Limited, 4.0 liter automatic stumbles and/or hesitates at tip in after you first start it when warm. It acts like an engine with a carb that has a bad or improperly adjusted accelerator...

Could you explain this a little better , hesitates at tip in after you first start it when warm > hesitates at tip in ???? plus after first you first start it when warm . What's warm ? the engine ? The temperature out side ? Or after you had it running an shut it off an restart the vehicle ? The engine temp. is warm , hot etc.... cooling fans working , vapor lock ?

is the check engine light on? have you ever serviced the injectors? if not try that first because there are many things that give the symptoms you spoke of. but this is the cheapest.

Hesitation , skipping, engine cuts out when accelerating

Im having the same issue I believe. I have a 94\' Chevy 1500 and when i accelerate it will jerk like the gas has cut out but it wont stall. It just jerks and slows me down. It only seems to do it when going up a hill. I feel like it could be the fuel pump or possibly some intake gaskets?

99 S-10 Engine hesitates only when warm

If it has miss and hesitation only warm not cold you may have a coolant temp sensor problem . but if the service engine soon light is off i would chek ignition system(plugs, wires ,boots).most likely one of the cylinders missfires when hot.
