Question about 1999 Dodge Durango
This morning out of no where on my 98 durango, the abs light and parking brake light come on the dash and my brakes which are 4 months old and were working fine the day before, are very bad. have to push the pedal down all the way to stop.
I think you have a master cylinder issue. This has nothing to do with your brakes at the wheel. My suggestion would be to have it diagnosed at a chrysler dodge dealership and pay the diagnostic fee to be sure. They will hook up a device called a DRB III and can tell you in a few minutes what exactly the problem is. You are not obligated to service the vehicle there but you will know exactly the problem is. Then you have something to work with when you get prices for the fix. You definetly have a failure somewhere or your pedal would have remained where it has been in the past. If you feel this information has been helpful please leave me good feedback. If I can be of further assistance please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will forward you what information I have. If you require a good mechanic I would be glad to find you one free of charge.
