I think you have a master cylinder issue. This has nothing to do with your brakes at the wheel. My suggestion would be to have it diagnosed at a chrysler dodge dealership and pay the diagnostic fee to be sure. They will hook up a device called a DRB III and can tell you in a few minutes what exactly the problem is. You are not obligated to service the vehicle there but you will know exactly the problem is. Then you have something to work with when you get prices for the fix. You definetly have a failure somewhere or your pedal would have remained where it has been in the past. If you feel this information has been helpful please leave me good feedback. If I can be of further assistance please email me at 585@snet.net and I will forward you what information I have. If you require a good mechanic I would be glad to find you one free of charge.

Abs light stays on and brake light on 98 durango

The regular brake warning light is for the parking brake being applied or the brake fluid is low. You would need to get the abs system scanned for trouble codes to proceed.

Asb and parking brake dash lights are on

that light is not for the parking brake it is telling you that your truck has a brake problem. With the ABS light on that system is disabled so you are braking with a vehicle that doesn't have it.
1. check fluid low? y check pads and rotors low fluid indicates worn parts, or leaks.
2. have abs codes checked wheel sensors could have failed and rarely the ABS module. Wheel sensors are located near the wheels or in the rear differential

How do you fix the abs brakes in a 98 dodge durango?

Firast you need to have the ABS control module scanned for the fault code that is set when the light is on, then work from that fault code.

I HAVE A 98 DURANGO AND EVERY TIME I TURN RIGHT AN APPLEY BRAKES THE ABS KICKS IN.

the abs does work like that at all times apply the brakes. If you are referring to a harsh throbbing or pulsating feel upon applying the brakes the abs module needs to be looked at
