Question about Honda Ridgeline

I used a power converter and it blew a circuit. Now, none of my ignition-based accessories work. There is a master fuse under the hood labeled ''50A - cgi''. Is this the culprit?

If you replace that ... or the one for the battery... that would be the culprit

I have aa 2007 chev her with 2.22 liter some of the fuses don't get power and some do on the fuse box block under hood everything to start and run car is dead

Power Accessory jack used to have power even with ignition off. Inside cabin Under hood main ignition fuse is good. Are there any fusible links in this circuit ??


main ignition fuse is only for just that...

if you checked that the circuit to that power outlet is OK, including the wiring, maybe the jack itself is bad

disconnect it, then use jumper wires to the battery to see if it powers on

Need to know where the under dash fuse box gets it's power for a 1998 honda civic cx


All fuses get their power from the battery. The under dash fuse box is no exception.
In the under-HOOD fuse and relay box, there will be a 'Master' fuse that sends power to the other components. This will be a 50 or 75 Amp fuse. Check every fuse you see in that under-HOOD box, and one of the mains is probably out.
You'll need to find out why it blew, because there is definitely a reason when the big ones blow. It's a major short circuit.
Did you replace a starter, or alternator, or battery before the problem bagan?

2002 Ford Explorer, All 4 Power Windows are not getting power


  • I would check to see if your radio spark blew a maxi-fuse or fusible link feeding the fuse panel. To check, use a test light on all the fuses in the panel, with key on. When key is on all the fuses are powered. And/or pull the ((fuse or circuit breaker-probably a circuit breaker)) for the power windows, and check both terminals-with key on, one terminal should have power, If you do have power, possibly a bad circuit breaker. If no power on either terminal-check under hood fuses or a fusible link that feeds the fuse panel.
    As for hooking onto another accessory wire, I would be careful of that: the windows usually use a 30 amp circuit breaker. You would have to tap into a high amperage circuit. The extra load from the windows might be too much.
You can use a test light to check any fuse without having to pull the fuse for visual inspection. Ground the test light lead and use the probe to touch the little indents on top of fuse (these are test ports). A good fuse will light the tester on both ends of the fuse. A blown fuse will only light one side of the fuse. If the fuse's element has snapped apart, the second side of the fuse will not have power.

1998 maxima after I tried wiring a fog light power line into the fuse for the blower everything worked fine then I turned off the lights and the entire car died blew the blower fuse and i replaced the fuse...


you may have to replace a circuit breaker (30amp ) or more, your blower motor may be part of the ignition system, it takes alot to blow a CB, but maybe thats what you did. under the hood , near battery, find the box that houses all or most of the CB'S. IT SHOULD BE clearly marked, which CB is for each circuit. look for the ignition circuit, replace it, also check if theres one for blower motor, this is probably a fuse only @ fuse box inside the car. see how this works , and let a qualified mech., wire up your fog lights, good luck

Battery was dead. -30 celcius outside. Boosted battery and truck started. After driving for a while, went to turn off truck, and with ignition switch off and key out, engine still ran as if the key was in....


I suggtes check in the Power Distrbution Box (under hood), the power distribution box, trailer tow and electronic shift on the fly relay blocks are located in the engine compartment near the brake master cylinder.

Look position 20, 50AMP (Maxi Fuse) for Ignition Switch (B4 & B5) ans position 21 (same sizes) for Ignition Switch (B1 & B3)...

Which fuse on the fuse panel is the one for the power windows i lost the manual


I know thta, for a 2002 Ford Explorer, the 30 amp circuit breaker in location #62 of the power distribution box in the engine compartment is the power window circuit breaker. (unfortunately in the 2002 owner's manuals it is labelled accessory delay ) later years are labelled as the power window circuit breaker.

Power windows went out


The power window system operates under the control of the accessory delay relay. For early build vehicles, the GEM will energize the relay to provide power to the power window system. For late build vehicles, the ICM(instrument cluster module) will energize the relay to provide power to the power window system.

Now it does not state the build date cut off in shop manual. So if it is an early build Fuse No.6(60amp) in Battery junction box feeds a circuit breaker that mounts under the hood on the fender apron at the firewall on driver's side(wire colors will be BK/WH and YE/LG).Then it feeds the switch side of the accessory delay relay in the Central junction box. Fuse 17(15amp) in the central junction box feeds the switch side of this relay.

The late build system is the same except instead of the circuit breaker on the left fender apron it uses fuse no. 47(30amp) in the battery junction box.

Now you can go to this website and pick owner guide on left task bar,input your vehicle info and pick get owner guide. Then pick the 6th owner guide printing and go to page 210 for the accessory delay relay location. You will see all the fuse information starts on page 207 thur 216.
