It is located on front timing cover, remove set screw, disconnect wire,pull sensor, replace sensor, connect wire and put back screw. is it not under warranty?

Do you need to drop the starter to replace the crankshaft position sensor?


My info doesn't say anything about removing the starter. Do what makes it easiest for you.

Error Code P0315 on 2007 Chevy Aveo


P0315 - Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned

Possible causes- Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor harness is open or shorted
- Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Crankshaft Position (CKP)
- Damaged crankshaft pulse wheel teeth. Tech notes Visual inspection of the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor and crankshaft pulse wheel teeth for damage. If crankshaft teethes are OK, replaced the Crankshaft Position sensor

Location of crankshaft censer 2007 chevy cobalt


The Crank shift sensor is located in front of the motor in between the intake manifold and oil filter housing, nest to the knock sensor. Look on side cylinder block beside starter.you have to remove the starter to remove the crankshaft sensor. Hope this helps. Thanks for choosing Fixya, RJ
