Power console and Remote no longer control sliding doors or hatch

I am having the same problem now as you folks were having last year.

Battery was replaced 3 months ago but everything worked fine afterwards. Van goes in to get detail cleaning last week and one of the doors was not secured all the way closed. Stayed that way over night. Manual says this problem could happen if door is left open over 6 hours, which was the case for me. However, resetting technique (in this case pulling disconnecting battery) did not fix the problem. Doors will still operate by buttons on them, but not with remote or console controls.

Did you guys figure it out?

I have been asked to add detail. My remote does not work the sliding doors nor the power liftgate. However, it does lock and unlock the doors. Additionally, there is a set of switches on a console above my head as I drive, which would allow me to open and close either slider or the power hatch. They do not work either.

There is a swich beside them that allows me do disengage the power slider and hatch for safety reasons. When turned off everything is shut down, but when turned on only the door-mounted buttons will operate.

Last, when the car was detailed they did clean the engine, so perhaps something got wet???

One other point: I know I can go to the dealer as several have suggested I do, but I really want to save the $$$ they will (over)charge, especially since 8 out of 10 times FixYa has worked for me in the past.

    - Thanks!

Sounds like the power sliding door master switch on the overhead console is either in the off position, or something has gone wrong with the switch or the wiring. I'd check that switch and perhaps even actuate is a few times. It's the one to the far right.

Is there a way to unlock the rear door of a 2004 jeep liberty from the inside

If you hit the unlock button in the door 2 times, it should unlock the tailgate. Otherwise you may have to go back to the dealership and have them program a new remote for you. If the battery in your remote went dead, it may work again by replacing the battery.

MY 96 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO, RUNS FINE, BUT THE COURTESY LIGHTS EITHER CLICK OFF AND ON OR JUST STAY ON. ALSO , WHEN I DRIVE, THE LOCKS CLICK FROM LOCKED TO UNLOCKED ALMOST CONTINUOSLY.. MY ALARM

The problem is the remote. What I think is happening.... is that the battery in the remote controls all those same functions that you are now manually controlling with your key. The reason the alarm works without the remote is that it is powered by the actvation of the power locks. Go put battery in your remote and I would just about guarantee you that everything will work the way it is supposed to... I wish you good luck. and God Bless\

Did these doors quit at the same time or over a period. It seems that the actuators for the locks have gone bad. With the mentioned doors, that's a lot weight for the actuators to unlock and pop open. With the remotes and console not working , that's more reason to think the actuators are the problem.

Driver and Passenger auto door locks are inop.

Sounds like bad wiring, or bad door lock actuators. Check for power while locking/unlocking the doors.

Battery died now power sliding doors and rear hatch not operating

1) Unlock all doors from driver's door while it is open. The driver's door is the only door to remain open during this process! 2) Turn the key from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. All the doors will lock and unlock if program is successful. 3) Turn key OFF and remove key from ignition. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the remote. (Press sliding door or rear hatch and it will open!) 4) If door locks do not respond, wait several seconds and press button again. If doors still fail to respond, try repeating steps (1-3).
