Question about 1998 Saturn SW
My shifter moves around freely with no resitance, i believe its the linkage but i am not sure. is the linkage internal or external
Be sure to check the top of the transmission (behind the battery and in front of the brake fluid reservoir), and be sure the shift cable is connected. There is a metal clip that tends to fall off from time to time. Hopefully you still have it under the hood, otherwise you need to get it at a saturn dealership (or a salvage yard).
