If you search the web you can find bypass pulleys made by DORMAN parts, as far as the belt goes there is but one for each engine, AC or not. You can buy the "AC delete" bypass pulley from the dealer in some cases as well, but due to the age of your car it is doubtful they will be able to get it.

SOURCE: 94 park avenue ac compressor locked up can i bypass?

there should be a manual bypass to remove the clutch to the compressor otherwise measure the belt and go about 10 inches or shorter (just a hint to get the belt off use the tire iron wrench and push the tension pulley toward the cab of the car the thread is reversed)

I doubt anyone knows that off the top of their head. You could run a string through the path you want the belt to take and measure how much string it takes. This will give you an approximate length for the belt -- most parts stores could find one close to that size.

Is it possible to bypass the ac compressor on a 2005 pontiac grand prix GT without installing a bypass pulley and instead rerouting a belt and eliminating the ac?

Your cheapest route might be to purchase a used A/C compressor from a local salvage yard until you can afford to fix it correctly.

1998 Mercury Grand Marquis belt diagram options

That's not the way it works. You purchase a Bypass Pulley and fit it where the compressor was. Same belt routing and length.

Im trying to replace an ac compressor cluth with a bypass but cant find anything that tells me how

The major autoparts stores sell a bracket which uses the same boltholes as the old A/C compressor. It has a free-wheeling pulley and should use the same belt.
There are a few potential problems, I see, which may be noticeable in engine idle speed. When A/C worked, or Defroster, the drag of the compressor running was to be offset by a bump in the RPM to offset drag. You will need to tidy up the loose hoses to keep them from dangling in the engine compartment.

Trying to find out if you can bypass the ac compressor on a 1997 pontiac grand am gt

Take off your belt and wrap a string around the pulleys bypassing the compressor. Tie the string so it's relatively tight. Then cut the string and measure it.That's the length belt you need give or take a half inch. Or take the string and your belt to a parts store and tell them you need a belt that's as long as the string and as wide and has as many grooves as your belt. Someone will help you, and if they don't, go to a different store. Money talks, and good salesmen listen.
