Usually the wires between the door jamb break from wear ( use ) ....otherwise go through trunk if accessible or you can have a locksmith open it if you lost the key

Locked out of trunk 2000 cadillac eldorado release button not working i removed lock on trunk still cant get in trunk

Pressing the rear compartment lid release switch provides an input signal to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster sends a Class 2 serial data message to the body control module (PZM). The PZM grounds connector C6 of the rear compartment lid release solenoid through CKT 1344 (LT BLU) if the following conditions are present:
?€¢
The transaxle is in the PARK position.

?€¢
The valet lockout switch is closed.

Power is supplied through the following components to the now-grounded CKT 1344 (LT BLU):
?€¢
The RADIO/PHONE fuse

?€¢
CKT 40 (ORN)

?€¢
The coil of the rear compartment lid release relay
The relay coil energizes and closes the relay contacts.
Power is supplied from the CONVENIENCE fuse through the following components:
?€¢
CKT 2040 (ORN)

?€¢
The now-closed relay contacts

?€¢
CKT 56 (BLK/WHT)

?€¢
The rear compartment lid release solenoid
The solenoid energizes and the rear compartment lid latch assembly releases the rear compartment lid.

2001 Chevy Blazer - I pushed the rear hatch button to open it. Now the rear hatch won't open at all. I also can't lock my doors while inside since I pushed the rear hatch button.

sounds like something may be shorted in your rear hatch switch and when you pushed the button to open it you may have blown a fuse. I would check your fuse and make sure they are all still good. I would also try to look inside the rear hatch and check the wires and see if there is something wrong with one of them.

I got 99Cadillac Seville and I can't open trunk button not working

Does it have keyless entry , does it open with keyfob ? This is fairly complex ! It would be hard to diagnose from here ,need to hook up a factory scan tool to see if the switch signal is present at the ( IPM ) an see if open message is sent to the RIM module !
Rear Compartment Lid Release Circuit Description
When the rear compartment lid release switch is pressed, ground is applied on CKT 1576 (BLK) at terminal D5 connector 1 of the instrument panel integration module (IPM). The IPM will send a message via the class 2 data line to the rear interface module (RIM). The RIM applies ground to CKT 1344 (LT BLU), with the valet switch in the ACCESS position, voltage is applied from the ALDL fuse 4, through the TRK REL relay coil. The relay energizes, the contacts close and voltage is applied from the BODY fuse to the rear compartment lid release solenoid. The solenoid is connected to ground G402 via CKT 850 (BLK).

Rear hatch not open

have you checked the fuse for the circuit the hatch opening solenoid is on? Have you checked to see is power is on the circuit when you push the button? If the fuse is ok and there is power, you need to take things apart to get to the inside of the hatch door. then you need to check the back side of the button for power and check the solenoid with an alternative power source to see if it works or not.

I have power to the door lock switches on the drivers door but the locks do not work nor does the back hatch or the switch at the back hatch that controls all the locks in the vehicle. Do the locks g

Power Door Locks Circuit Description
The power door lock system incorporates door lock switches on both front doors and on the RH D-pillar, door lock motors in all passenger doors and in the RR cargo door, a door lock relay and a door lock control module.
Power for the door lock switches and the door lock control module is supplied from the CIG LTR fuse 13 through CKT 640 (ORN). Power for the door lock relay is supplied from the PWR ACCY circuit breaker through CKT 540 (ORN). Ground for the door lock relay is supplied from G202 through CKT 150 (BLK) and ground for the door lock control module is supplied from G400 through CKT 150 (BLK).
The door lock motors are reversible and both sides are connected to the normally closed contacts of the door lock relay. Those contacts of the relay are connected to G202. When any of the door lock switches are placed in the lock position, voltage is supplied through CKT 195 (LT BLU) to the relay lock coil. Since the other side of the lock coil is connected to ground, the coil is energized and it pulls the lock contacts closed. Voltage is then supplied through CKT 295 (GRY) to all the door lock motors and the doors lock. The unlock function operates in much the same manner except that when any of the switches are placed in the unlock position, voltage is supplied through CKT 194 (WHT) to the unlock coil of the relay and CKT 294 (TAN) supplies voltage to the apposite side of the door lock motor and the doors unlock.
Door Lock Control Module Description
The door lock control module is used on vehicles equipped with cargo doors. The purpose of the module is to lock the cargo doors after a lock cycle has been commanded from any of the door lock switches with the cargo doors open. When the RH cargo door is open, the module receives a ground signal from the closed contacts of the rear door jamb switch on CKT 1897 (ORN/BLK) to G400. When a lock command is received, the module retains this input until it receives an open input from the rear door jamb switch. Then the module sends a lock command through CKT 194 (WHT) to the door lock relay and the doors lock.
Rear Cargo Doors Description
The power door lock motor will not operate unless the rear cargo doors are fully closed. The power door lock motor is in the right cargo door. The contactors are on the rear cargo door opening on the body and on the right cargo door.
