Powerwasher or water hose ? According to how much pressure and how close to components it may dry out in the sun with the hood up. Try checking for water under or in the ignition coils, especially if coil on plugs, as water can get inside the recessed area and cause a no spark, no crank issue. Any number or connectors can be damp and shorting/grounding out. As one who does both detailing and driveability diagnostics I have done this myself several times through the years. Check the things you can get to and give it some time to dry.

It will eventually, it just has water round the plugs and distributor. You could leave it in the sun with the bonnet (hood) up for a day, or spray the plugs, leads and distributor top with dewatering spray.

Beetle 2000 wont start after washing engine 2 days ago. Can you please help?

How did you wash it? Pressure washer or just a hose? Any chemical cleaners uaed? Usually it is just water that got somewhere it shouldn't be but that usually dries out in a day or so. If you used a pressure washer it is possible you damaged a connector or wiring or even just forced water do into a connector that hasn't dried out yet.

I washed engine on my 1997 XH ute now it wont start

You probably got water into the distributor and spark plug leads/spark plug caps.
Dry them out and this should solve your problem,

Washed my 6.0 diesel engine while truck was running. Turned it off now it wont start

Leave it at least 24 hours. Try again. If it got water in the air cleaner while running you're lookiung at very costly repairs. The engine will start but give a very rough idle/misfire If you're lucky, you just got a control element wet and it will start soon as everything's dried out.

give every thing a good spray with WD40 that may help start her up,, its a bad idear to use a high presher water hose for cleaning your engine up,,

Washed the engine now it wont start

Most likely you will just have to wait for it to dry on its own. It is best to wash a engine while it is running so the ignition components stay dry.

Car wont start

Need more information. Could still be electrical issue i.e. ecm under the distributor cap. Wet older wires probable. These cars have susceptible electronic components you can't see but water will find. You may just have to wait it out a couple of days.
