Its probably your radiator fan you should look under hood when its starting to run hot and see if the fans in the very front are spinning and check all fluids

2001 dodge status rt 3.0 engine will blow out cold air sometimes. It doesnt seem to be overheating. Do I need to change the therostat.

Thats a very inexpensive route to start with. It blows out cold air when you put your heat on?If so it could also be in the heating unit itself. If your car makes a clicking noise when you switch your heat over from the AC, it could be your temperature contol unit. My wifes car had that issue, and hers is a a mits Galant, but is set up the same as some stratus's.

Car overheating, coolant in resevoir cold, radiator top hose boiling hot. overheating problem comes and goes. 1999 VW passat

Check that your electric radiator fan is working. When the car is hot and idling it should come on.

Replace your therostat. I had a Chevy Citation that the thermostat would start to open and then close instead of opening all the way.

Overheating

You might wann replace the coolant, and also check the radiator fans, if they are working or not.

While i m starting car air conditioner my car overheated

Start by checking the water level and top up as neccesary, and then if its ok maybe change the therostat as these really only last a few years and get stuck in the closed position, Also check if the fan is coming on, as sometimes the switch can be faulty, let me know these details as they are the first things to check. There are many other more serious reasons but these are the most common.
