Kjmb 321: There should be a fill line on the reservoir so you do not over fill it. As far as what is put in it, a mix of antifreeze and water.
I would suggest 10% antifreeze mixed with water.
Check the hose which goes from the radiator to the tank. It should feel like the rest of the hoses under the hood. There should be no cracks and the connections at both ends should be tight (do not over tighten, you will break the plastic!) Buy a new radiator cap from the "Honda dealer". The reason for getting a factory cap, is because it is designed to release pressure in the cooling system at a certain point. If the cap you have on the car is rated too high, it can eventually cause a hose, radiator and/or heater core to leak or burst. The over flow is actually an expansion tank. When the pressure exceeds a certain point, the cap will allow some coolant to flow into the overflow (expansion tank). When the engine cools off, the radiator cap will actually lift and allow the coolant to return into the radiator.

If you can't keep fluid in the overflow you either have an external leak, you should see fluid on the ground after stopping, if no fluid is apparent you have an internal engine leak and need a mechanic to determine the cause and repair.

1995 Honda Accord, 4 cylinder, overheating issues. Only overheats when in stop and go or slow traffic. No obviously leaks from the radiator. It's also brand new. Both fans come on when the temp gauge...

You may have air in the system, find the highest spot in the cooling system .Try open a hose and if there is a bleeder opening that.If it overheating at low speeds it is a water flow problem(volumn). I would suspect a bad water pump or a thermostat stuck partially open. The timing belt drives water pump and if it is loose then that could be a problem.if you replaced the radiator because of rust then the blades on water pump could be worn.Rust is abrasive.

Why does my 93 coupe honda accord and when i put it in drive it hesitate to take off and then catch it speed

Have the TPS voltage checked first. It is set when new to a certain voltage and as time goes by through the years it will wear old leaving a flat spot you might say causing a hesitation when taking off accellerating

Car just died on our 1991 Honda bf thinks its the timing belt

I'll tell you four common failures on 90-93 Accords: 1.) The PGM-FI relay goes bad cutting power to the fuel pump. 2.)The distributor ignitor goes bad cutting spark. 3.) The ignition coil goes bad cutting spark also. 4.) The electrical portion of the ignition switch goes bad cutting power. (Quick check: try wiggling the key in a circular motion while its running, if it dies the ign switch is bad.) Note: Watch the distributor rotor while cranking. If the rotor turns while cranking than the t-belt isn't broken.

Antifreeze leak

Ok, Its defiantly the seal that is between the water pump and the engine block that is leaking the coolant.
