Question about 1990 Oldsmobile Regency

Replaced crankshaft sensor, car still won't start

I have an 06 Nissan Altima and my service engine light came on. Diagnostics check said it needs 2 sensors, crankshaft and speed sensors. Replaced the crankshaft sensor but haven't replaced the speed sensor yet. The car still isn't starting. Can a speed sensor prevent the car from starting? I was under the impression it just sends a signal lto the speedometer but, doesn't prevent the car from turning over. Is there another problem or could it in fact be the speed sensor?

A camshaft sensor can cause a no start situation, so can a bad coil, or ignition control modual. You need further testing done.
A speed sensor does not cause a no start, that I'm aware of.

02' Nissan Altima, car jerking, turns off at light, but turns right back on. Engine light on, code from autozone P0335 crankshaft position sensor. P0725 Engine speed signal circuit. The start up, days it...

If it has a code for loosing the crankshaft position sensor signal, I would certainly start looking at that before venturing into the fuel system. Cam and Crank sensors are a common failure item for Nissans of that era. Nissan actually redesigned the sensor and i think they performed a recall on some vehicles. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe they run about $40 each. Because most people don't have access to a powerful scanner or a digital storage oscilloscope to verify the failure I recommend replacing the cam and crank sensors at the same time.

cs sensor is beside crankshaft pulley side of motor look for electrical plug. or could be inside crankshaft pulley, some are made that way, if so you'll have to pull harmonic balancer to get it out. hope i helped!!!

2003 Nissan Altima 2.5S, Check Engine Light Problem.

this problem could be caused by the mass air flow censor, i had the same problem with my car. it is really pricey at the dealer so you might want to check elsewhere for this part. I found one at a scrap yard for 85% less that the dealer and i also got life time warranty, the dealer does not offer any warranty on this part.

2003 nissan altima 2.5s transmission rough shift

Probably sensors! I have already replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor once, nissan replaced it once under recall and now it is bad again! Plus my speed sensor is bad too! Go to any part store and get diagnostic test ran, it will tell what sensors are bad.
