Your radio is wired into the ignition so check nto see if it has any lose wire. this is a common overlook when replacing the ignition

Remove the Collier from the yoak (+) star is all that you'll need look at the wires red or blue w/white line. Or pull the radio out and with a light tester and key on push the point into the red wire If nothing that is the problem

No power to my gmc and now the key wont come out of the ignition?

It has to have power to remove the key. Jump it with another battery or charger. If you have power from the battery and no power to the inside. Check main fuses under the hood. If those are good, put power to the cigarette light, This will get the key out. Most likely have to replace the under hood fuse panel.

I know your question is a month old, but did you ever get the problem fixed? There is a TSB from GM saying the shifter boot is getting caught in the shifter mechanism causing th key to get stuck, Sounds like a copout because they dont' know what to do. I did see something about a 175amp mega fuse under the hood, possibly near the cowl on the passenger side that could have a loose connection.

2003 Trailblazer- no power after key stuck in ignition

Sounds like an antitheft problem I would start with the antitheft system. Usually when you only have one key all keys have to be programmed together even the original. When you have more than one it is easy to program additional keys.

Key stuck in the ignition

Well the radio code is an anti-theft issue. you have to take it to the dealership and they get your VIN number and they will retrieve the serial number to your radio. With that they can look up your code. It will cost at least $75 dollars.

Make sure they connect it back up correctly because then if you live in climates that reach under 20 degrees your radio will shut off. or when hit a bump in the winter your radio will shut off and you have to enter the code everytime it goes off.

I have an '01 montero sport XLS. Battery died and I had to experience this the hard way.
