Sounds like the bendix drive or solenoid on the starter is failing. The solenoid energizes the starter coil and also extends the drive into the flywheel.

Can i drop 97 ford explorer xlt motor in a 2000 explorer sport

If the engine displacement is the same then it will work, although you will have to change "ALL" electronic components on the engines from the 2000 engine to the 1997 engine as these components will be different. If you do not change them you will have several different problems. Most car manufacturers change their electronics year to year and sometimes even mid-year.

97 ford explorer limited changed fuel pump and filter and preasure relelay valve car still having starting issues can start cold and drive 20 mins and shut car of and it well have a hard time starting and...

I have a 98 explorer and had a similar problem. It wound up being bad spark plug wires. So I changed them and the spark plugs while I was at it. It ran great and still does. I'm not sure if that's your problem I would need more information.

My 97 ford explorer AWD limited works great until the transfer case heats up. Then you cant turn sharp and the tires bark and chirp when turning

That is not good at all

With out jumping ahead here
Check the fluid level in the transfer case

If you have clutches in there, and I'am
guessing you do,I personally would just pull
the transfer out and open it up.

You most likely do not have that knowledge
or have the tools

I think the clutches are burnt up
Why, I don't know, but it has to be rebuilt and
move on

My 97 ford explorer dont have spark. and all the fuses are good.

From your idea that I fuse controls the spark plugs, I'd suggest you have someone else look into what is wrong with your car.

might have a bad o2 sensor wich is tripping your check engine light and a vacuum leak wich is causing your 4lo 4 high light to blink

CMP (camshaft position sensor) "chirps" noisely when engine is cold. Will changing the sensor fix this or will the CMP drive assy. also have to be replaced/repaired?

I would change the whole assembly... My 97 came on with the light and I replaced the assy with one from a totalled one but I did have to get a new sensor (Sensors and electronic components for reporting are always better to replace new).
