Eather its the therostat, blown head gasket, or you still have air in the cooling system. Even though its a rebuilt motor the head gasket could still blown.

Did you flush the radiator and change the uper hose? If you have changed the water pump and sencers have them checked they may be factory defected.

I have a 99 saturn sl, my engine fan keeps going out cant pass service light on

I believe that the reason that your fan is staying on,and causing the fuse or fan motor to go out,is because you have an overheating problem. Which could be several things....water pump, radiator, thermostat,or blown head gasket.I would have the whole cooling system checked first. Secondly, where are you buying the fan motors at?

2004 nissan maxima overheating i replace the thermostat and the radiator cap and then had the radiator rotted out it did well for bout one month and started again. it doesnt overheat everyday thou

i would look at replacing the water pump although uncommon that the pump goes out with out leaking i have seen it happen before, the easest thing to try first is mixing your coolant different it should be a 50/50 mix if the mix is to weak the motor will over heat if its to strong the motor will take forever to warm up. alumanim motors have to have dex cool despite what other people say.

2002 camry car is oveheating coolant level normal

Have you tried replacing the overflowtank top. This can cause your problem. A lot of people don't realize this. It gets worn and can;t hold the pressure of coolant. Change it out $8 and let us know.

Overheat 2001 hyundai tiburon

Only 2 parts remaining are the thermostat and waterpump. Always start with the thermostat when diagnosing an overheating problem. If the car is overheating constantly under all conditions and coolant is backing up into the reservoir, it's very likely to be the thermostat. If it only overheats at low speed or idling, it's more likely the waterpump.

I need a piston rod for a 99 grand am how much should i pay????

The rod itself isn't very expensive - less than $50. But the labor to put it in will be well over $500. And you never replace just one rod. You need to rebuild the motor, check everything over while you are in there. Most likely it would be cheaper for you to buy an entire rebuilt motor and have the whole thing changed.

1990 Subaru Liberty Overheats

Hi,

I had the same problem with my 1993 Liberty LX. Remove the thermostat (located inside bottom radiator hose engine connection - take the connection off and thermostat is inside). Reassemble (minus thermostat), reconnect bottom hose. Slowly (very, very slowly) refill the radiator and remove the bleed plug ( located beside the top hose connection to the radiator - a black square plug with a phillips head cross in the middle). When the radiator is full and clear water (no air bubbles) is coming out of the bleed point, replace the bleed plug and then the radiator cap.

Run the engine for five minutes (approx) or until normal engine temperature is reached. Allow the engine to cool down and recheck the water level - fill if necessary ensuring that the bleed plug is open and clear water is coming out of that point. Replace Bleed plug and then radiator cap. Run engine for five minutes (approx) and then test dive. If the engine overheats keep filling the radiator until there are no air bubbles coming from out of the bleed point.

This fixed my overheating problem. Good luck and safe motoring.
