First look for the distributor and behind the distributor is a low oil pressure switch try bypassing the switch with a jumper cable and try starting it if it runs then the oil pressure switch is bad, if not then replace fuel filter and then try again, does it start? Your done. If it still does not run turn the key on to run position with the driver side door open, listen for a 2 second hum if you do not here a hum then we can assume the pump is bad, however look at the block inside the engine compartment find the fuel relay switch, look for another solenoid like it and put into the fuel relay try starting if it starts buy a new relay, if not you will need to drop the fuel tank and remove the fuel sender unit along with the fuel pump and sock. Once you have the fuel pump out connect the wires to the pump and try running a dry start with pump out of car be sure to ground it to the frame. Turn key to run position, does pump run? Yes then replace the pump and fuel sock, if not run a wire from the positive side of the battery to the fuel pump and apply power to the positive side of the pump, does the pump run? Yes then you have a wiring problem if no then replace pump and fuel sock. Hope this helps. If not post what you find here and will replay back to you.

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail if 30 psi is not present it may be a bad fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator.

put a fuel pressure gauge on it. Check my specs because I am doing this from memory but I think it has to have at least 61 psi and anything below about 55 is not enough. I once put a brand new from the dealer on my bravada. Abter it still did not start I replace the "injector spider" to the tune of 400 buck my cost for the part only to find that the brand new feul pump was not getting enough pressure. Section 4 in a haynes manual at the parts store will give you the minimum fuel pressure.
