Step on gas and car will not accelerate, then dies...when i turn on it dies about twice, then it stays on

You need the engine control computer scanned for fault code as the first step to diagnosing this problem.

Possibly a fuel supply issue. Will require a fuel pressure tester. Could be in tank pump or a bad fuel pump relay. In a quiet environment, turn key on (not start position ) and listen if you can hear the guel pump run for 1 or 2 seconds.

check your petrol pump

fuel pump, filter and ejectors maybe bad need to check those three

Sometimes that's caused by a vacuum leak near the manifold area.

Sometimes air in the coolant will cause an idle problem. Air will keep the air temp sensor from sending proper info.

sounds like a crank sensor problem, or cheap fuel and engine in "get home mode"

run the fault codes first to check for faulty sensors
what you describe indicates a problem in the exhaust in that when the exhaust gas volume reaches a certain level the sensors are reporting it and the ECM is not able to fix it
have an accredited exhaust shop check the cat converter
for failure and partially blocking the exhaust at speed
if it was a fuel pump you would run into problems long before the speed at which it occurs
AT best it could be an EVAP problem with the vent not working properly but I think that it is exhaust related

The engine is running very rich that is why the exhaust is emitting black smoke. The engine needs a tune up so the air fuel mixture is correct.

Sounds like a air control sensor which is located on the air in take pipe in between the air cleaner and throttle housing , easy to replace .
