Hazard lights won't turn off, all other lights work fine.

If i turn my headlights knob on the left side of the steering column to A or O settings the hazards stay on. If i change it to the parking light or headlight settings they will turn off, however then those lights will stay on.

The lights are blinking or stay lit on the dash. Blinking is a bad switch, just coming on is a bad ground at the front.

Testimonial: "All four hazard lights stay blinking around the van and on the dash. Do you know where the bad switch is located so I can try to replace that? Thanks for the quick response!"

Replace the turn signal switch. Hazard is built in it.

98 buick century turn signal not flashing but bulb comes on

Do the hazard light's work ? Did you try replacing the turn/ hazard flasher ?
Remove the LH instrument panel (IP) insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
Remove the steering column filler panel. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
Grasp the hazard and turn signal flasher and slide the flasher to the right to release the flasher tabs from the slots on the BCM bracket.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the hazard and turn signal flasher.

I don't know where the signal light flasher is located the signal lights don't flash

Your vehicle has 2 flasher relays. One for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights. The turn signal flasher relay is located on the drivers side, under the dash, mounted on the drivers (Left) side of the steering column. The hazard flasher is mounted on top of the steering column. Do not get them mixed up.

Turn signals dont work on 1993 skylark. all bulbs are good. hazard lights blink fine. turnsignal dash light stays green and doesnt blink

There are 2 separate flasher relays. 1 for the turn signals and one for the hazards. I believe you have a bad flasher relay for the turn signals. The location of that is in the front seating area on the drivers side, under the dash on the drivers side of the steering column, mounted on support bracket. I provided a picture of what it should kind of look like although the picture I gave you is an aftermarket one so the color and such may be a little different but will look the same. Don't get it mixed up with the hazard relay which is located in the front seating area on the drivers side under the dash above the kick pane lmounted on top of the convenience. I am almost 100 percent sure the flasher and hazard relay are the same so if you want to just swap them out in order to have turn signals that should work. You won't have hazards however. I hope this helps you and good luck.

I have a 1991 Mercury Cougar. The wipers on this car do not operate at the correct setting. When its set to off they still go, when set to intermitent they go off etc. Blinkers usually dont work but...

the multi function switch will affect the signals but not the tail lights as they are on their own circuit.with the right side lights only working it sounds like a wiring problem for the left side and the wiring needs to be checked out at the rear of the car.the dim lights on the right side could be not enough voltage supply or a bad ground which again can be related to the wiring problem for the left side.the multi function switch is the switch that you use to turn on the signal lights change low to high beam headlights, turn on the wipers.it is located below the steering wheel with the wires running down the inside of the steering column.the signal switch is also located below the steering wheel on top of the column.the steering wheel will have to be pulled and the plate removed to see the switches and remove them.the wiring connectors are at the base of the steering column under the dash and they are removed by pulling them out through the column upwards and feeding the new ones down through the same way paying attention as to how the wires a routed through the column.

I have no signals and when brakes lights are on, lose brake light to either side turn signal is set on

Hi!!

If you activate the turn signal switch and you step on the brake pedal, the turn switch (on the steering column) deactivates the brake light to make the signal light more visible. The bulb for the stop and turn lights is the same.

Turn hazard lights ON. If they don't blink, replace turn/hazard flasher, If one or more lights don't come on, replace bulb.

Check fuse and circuit wiring for broken or loose connections. If all looks fine, check following:

If front turn lights work fine, check brake/turn bulbs.

If turn lights come on but don't blink, replace turn signal/hazard flasher.

If front and back turn lights don't come on, replace switch on column.

Let me know how it worked out, Good Luck

Headlights and turn signals stopped working

First off, do you have a knob on the dash for the headlights, or do you have a lever on the column that turns them on? If you have the lever on the column, and you can turn on the highbeams by pulling back on the turn signal stalk, and hitting the hazard button turns the flashers on, then chances are the stalk is bad (it's called the combination switch and it's a common failure on the B5 chassis cars (the Passat and Audi A4)).

Try that out - hit the hazard button and see if the hazards work. Pull back on the stalk and see if the high beams come on (they should - toggling like that uses a circuit that is separate from the usual headlight circuits).

Post back up with the results of these checks:

Headlight switch on column or dash?
Highbeams turn on when turn signal stalk is pulled back?
Hazard button activates hazard lights?

Let me know what you find out and I'll be able to tell you more definitely.
