It has spark, check engine light works and come on when i turn the key. For me it has no anti theft system. It has no microchip on the key. It's a 1992 Roadmaster sedan base. hi, I use to have the same problem I had to change engine electrical wires, then I had to change the crank sensor and the module ( destributer ) first let him check the complete wires installation then if they are good let him change the crank sensor
sounds like a stuck open EGR valve to me , take it off of a cool engine and spray some carb cleaner around the seat see if any leaks through to the other side. If it does The valve is bad. Also check out your throttle body for carbon and gumming. W/ engine off spray an appropriate carburator cleaner into the opening and clean throttle plate and bore with a rag until shiney. put all the air cleaner hoses back together and hold throttle to floor momentarily until engine starts, then rev up half way and release throttle twice quickly, now allow engine to idle idle should be stable and smooth. If not then check for other sources of vaccume leaks.
A lot of new parts! Have a compression test done to gauge the engine's internal condition, and go from there. If compression is good on all 6 cylinders, scan for trouble codes. The compression test may find your problem, something like an exhaust valve burned or not seating properly.
Hi, have to checked to make sure there is PCV flow? I see you put in a new valve, but did you check it with the engine running? The hose or port may be clogged.
can be many but will start with the most common --egr valve remove and clean possible carboned up use a carb cleaner also clean he exhaust tube--pcv valve clogged --fuel pump-air filter -distributor cap wires electronics--cat converter clogged --- good luck
Find the EGR valve on the intake and locate the vacuum hose that is connected to it. Start the engine cold and as it warms up, pull the hose off and if it idles and drives fine, the EGR valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Please rate me on this answer.
to properly clean and test the egr valve you should remove it from the car. disconnect vacuum, elect connectors, and check the gasket surface both on the manifold and on the base of the valve. you will need to buy or cut a new gasket most likely. when you apply vacuum to the control inlet, you should see the valve lift away from the seat. I use brake cleaner and compressed air to spray clean and blow out the valve just to test it and then go from there depending on what you find ---- one of the vacuum switches that controls it or a faulty vacuum line is a likely possibility also ---- so you should check them also. a vacuum pistol comes on really helpful here.
