You have to open the door panel and see why the window doesn't operate. The gear could be stripped or there could be a different problem

I cant tell from looking at the owners manual, which fuse is linked to the drivers side window. Mine is not going up or down.

All the windows are fused by just one fuse, if it goes all the windows stop working. You either have a defective driver door control switch or the window regulator motor is defective. I would think the motor inside the door that lifts the window is the issue here. You can verify it (window motor defective) by doing this simple test, at night open the door and leave it open, operate the driver door window switch and watch the interior lights (dome light in particular), they will dim just very slightly if the motor is defective, if they do not dim then the switch is likely the cause.

Drivers window goes down but not up

The motor and fuse is good - the likely culprit is a bad contact in the switch when you attempt to activate the up position.

I would replace the switch for that window.

Time for a new electric motor. The driver side wears out first because it is used most.

No power to left side rear window to raise the window. Window can only open (lower) by its own door control. The drivers door controls will not control that window at all. Checked with a fluke 87...

Then you found it also the window lock switch can also affect it use this diagram to help you you have a control switch on the driver side problem cansmo_133.gif

Driver side window stuck on Nissan Maxima 2004

It is likely the window motor is wearing out and will need to be replaced. You can always try a different switch on those wires to rule out switch problem. Otherwise, the motor will have to be replaced.

Driver side window rolls down. when it goes up it stop. after a little while it will go up a little more but not all the way. it takes several times to close window.

motor has a thermal protection device..you need a window motor, and the regulator and tracks checked 4 binding..I just replaced a motor on a cutlass pass. side now the drivers side is doing the same thing.you can pull up on the window and help it a little by opening the door and placing palms of hands on glass and pulling up on glass while some one else pushes the button..otherwise it takes repeated attempts as you described.motor is not cheap, aftermarket or dealer.
