The power steering pump is located under the engine , in correspondence of the steering column.

How to replace a power steering pump

Before replacing it, check pump hoses, sometimes all you need to replace is a blocked or kinked hose.

You will have to empty the reservoir attached to the pump first.

Here the replacement part.

Have you checked the fuel pump relay to see if it is sending power to the pump ? The computer grounds the relay when the computer "sees" oil pressure or engine RPM.

The power steering belt is broke on a kia sportage 2001 is it very expensive to fix..

I would replace it yourself....very simple to do! The belt is $13.00 Power Steering Pump Belt
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the A/C and alternator drive belts for access.
  3. Loosen mounting lock bolt (A) and mounting bolt (B).
  4. With tension released removed the belt.
To install:
  1. Properly route drive belt around the pulleys.
  2. Carefully pry on the power steering pump using a suitable lever. Adjust belt tension is 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm) when measured at deflection point shown.
  3. Retighten bolts (A) and (B) to 31 ft. lbs. (42 Nm).
  4. Reinstall the A/C and alternator drive belts.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.

2001 Kia Sportage fuse 4 radiator fan?

Radiator fan fuse is fuse # 5 (40 amp/Green) located behind the interior fuse access panel on the left side of the instrument panel next to the steering column. Also, in the underhood Power distribution center, next to the air cleaner filter are two black fan relays: high speed (F) at the far left, second row down and a low speed, 1st one to the right on the bottom row.
