What is the meaning of trouble codes 12,13 and 18 on my 2002 mazda 323 protege 1.6L ZM engine. I got these codes using a jump wire and LED light on diagnostic connector.

I dont know what codes you managed to trip but those are not proper diagnostic codes. OBDII codes will start with a letter and have four numbers (P0304, for example). these codes can be retrieved with a code reader or a scan tool.

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/jeremy_d728a59f986299fa

That video showed how to retrieve OBDI codes that are likely Mazda specific. Your vehicle is OBDII. You will need to pull codes with an OBDII code reader or scan tool.

not worth the time and expense mate just go bye a faster car it will be cheaper as i think the exhaust exits the back off the head on the turbo engine and exits the front on the earlier no turbo.

mods can be fun but not worth the head aches
