WHEN WAS IT LAST SERVICED? IT COULD BE A NUMBER OF THINGS, SUCH AS AN AIR FILTER BLOCKED, FUEL FILTER BLOCKED, FUEL PUMP NOT WORKING PROPERLY, ALSO CHECK TO SEE IF THE AIR HOLE IN THE FILLER CAP IS NOT BLOCKED AS THIS WOULD DO THE SAME THING

How do i remove and reinstall the distributor on ford falcon 4.0 1999 model

First make absolutely sure #1 cylinder is at top dead and the timing mark on the crank pulley is lined up. Pop off the distributor cap and check to see if the rotor is pointing to the #1 spark plug wire. Loosen the bolt that holds the clamp at the base of the distributor. Move it aside or remove it them pull up on the distributor and move it out.

Engine interference in ford falcon

I would suggest you put a radio noise filter on the power lead to the radio. You can buy them from most electronics stores or online. They are called "RF Filters" Also make sure the radio has a good chassis ground and the antenna ground is good.

97 saturn sl2 died while driving , pulled first spark plug boot and found filled with oil

The head gasket needs replaced. This particular Saturn is known for having this exact problem, and 9 out of 10 times, replacing the head gasket fixes it. I just did it myself for $35.

Go to checker/autozone and get a head gasket (should just need the gasket and not the entire kit) and a tube of RTV silicon grease to help make the seal.

Unhook everything from the engine (plugs, wires, etc, and unscrew the head. There should be about 10 or so screws surrounding the black plastic head cover. You'll find things a mess in here, but clean it up best you can. Remove the old gasket and clean the entire gasket area completely and make sure its dry. Put down your RTV grease, the new gasket, some more RTV, and screw the head back on. MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SCREW IT TOO TIGHT. The screws only need to be snug. Tighten it like you would a spark plug. Put everything back together and you should be good to go. Might run like **** the first half mile or so.

It sounds like you may have the spark plug wires mixed up. It's not the thermostat, that wouldn't make it run like that. What size engine is in it?

Were to find dipstick for auto tranmission on a1998 el falcon

There is no dipstick on this model. Later model falcons with the 4 speed Borg Warner auto have a filler plug in the side of the box, in much the same way as a manual transmission. To check fluid level, you will need to raise the vehicle, making sure it is level, and remove the filler plug. Make sure transmission is in neutral when doing this. If the level is correct, you will have a small dribble of fluid from the hole. if not, top up until fluid gently dribbles out.

EF & EL are 1,5,3,6,2,4
EF has a coil pack under the inlet manifold the EL has a distributor
EF uses a waste spark system so 2 plugs are fired at the same time eg 1 & 6 - 2 & 5 - 3 & 4
