There is a TSB for this problem. #2500102A which is Case NHTSA 10006129.

It is a malfunctioning indicator light and is shown on Aboutautomobile.com when you toggle through the links.

The fix for this should be in the TSB. Please rate my solution.

P2404 how to fix

You will not be able to repair this yourself. There is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) on that code which requires the PCM to be reprogrammed which must be done by a Mazda dealer. It may or may not be covered under warranty regardless of age/mileage. Write down the TSB # before going to a Mazda dealer. http://www.AboutAutomobile.com/TSB/2003/Mazda/MAZDA6/Emission+Control

TSB 07-3-4 for the 2005 Ford Escape, Deals with the intermittent hesitation or missfiring. This very missfiring happened after a 200mile drive from Seattle to Portland. The dealership did not read the TSB...

It is unlikely that RF interference will destroy a piece of electronics equipment, especially the low-level interference that is caused by incorrect spark plugs.

Technical Service Bulletins are issued by MFG's and are to be followed at the Technician's discretion, after determining that the TSB is applicable to the issue at hand.

If the TSB is, in fact, the issue, the fix would be to follow the TSB's advice, and the vehicle should operate normally again.

My check engine light came on sunday and i took it and they put it on a computer and the reading said mulple cyl misfire ran hotfix and found tsb kt2007062001 to progra ram pcm performed tsb and reset ok

This could be anything from spark plugs, wires,O2 sensors, EGR valve. Unfortunately it's a very broad answer. Have you had a good thorough tuneup with fuel filters, plugs, wires, etc? That would probably be a good start. Hopefully this will fix it, if not at least you will know what's not the problem. Plus it will probably help you run better and get better mileage. Good luck. Please rate this. Thanks

Engine light goes on

I've had this problem for the past year. I've had the PCV recall (TSB # 2204H) issue fixed. http://mazdaforum.com/recalls-and-tsbs/make_MAZDA/model_MPV/year_2003/id_2204H/TSB.htm . German Mazda dealer said it was the Ignition Coils so I replaced all the Spark plugs and all 6 Ignition Coils and I still had the problem. In another posted Tech Service Bulletin it specifically addressed this concern. TSB # 01-023/05 , Engine Misfire Detection Procedure http://www.mpvclub.com/tsb.php?id=172 . Basically, the Mazda maintenance crew has to scan it for Misfires and then if this is the problem, fix it in accordance with the Mazda Workshop Manual (section 01-03 No. 11). I'm statoned in Germany, so it's been a real pain and I'm still trying to get this problem fixed. Should be easier stateside. Hope this helps.

Heating problem in winter times

I read in one of the TSB's that there is an issue in the 04 M3 in that the air flow past the AC condenser. Diggin this out of my memory... but as I remember it, the air flow is too fast (?) and the air does not get temperature exchanged efficiently. The TSB had a fix to put a damper in that would slow the air flow down. Don't konw if it's the same thing or not, but might be good for a conversation with your Service Manager. .. check this link for that TSB; http://www.protegefaq.net/tsb/07-005-04.html .. and this one for all TSB's; http://www.protegefaq.net/tsb/
