I know that chevy vehicles in 04 and up have the lights stay on for about 1 minute until they turn off. Now if your lights stay longer than a minute then you can have the wires cross at some juncture

Abslight stays on. How to fix? This is a2007trailblazer?

First you need to have EBCM - electronic brake control module check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . If the light is on there is a code stored . I think most part stores can do this and for free . After you find out what code is stored , looking up that code in service repair information for diagnostic trouble shooting chart would be next step . There are a few codes too.
DTC C0035 or C0040
DTC C0045 or C0050
DTC C0110
DTC C0131
DTC C0161
DTC C0186
DTC C0196
DTC C0201
DTC C0240
DTC C0241 or P0856
DTC C0244 or P1689
DTC C0245
DTC C0283
DTC C0287
DTC C0290 or C0292
DTC C0455
DTC C0550
DTC C0558

Find the code do the diagnostic's , fix the problem , wiring issue's , a sensor , bad module ,what ever it is . The light will go out then . Here is a sample of code discription .
• DTC C0035 Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit
• DTC C0040 Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit

Cruise control not working in my 2009 Silverado. It went out gradually over the past several months, pretty much worked intermittantly.

cruise control module has failed. or if your brake lights are staying on, then brake light switch has failed and not allowing cruise to engage. Have someone stand behind truck and see if brakes are working properly, if not- replace brake light switch. if fine, then swap out cruise control module under hood.... prob find one at a junk yard.

Center brake lights on both sides and cab light stay on, unless I unplug electric tow brake control. when unplugged I have no cab light or center tail and brake lights. If plugged back in sometimes they...

You may have the polarity backwards on the tow brake control unit. Or should I say on the lines coming out of it.

Check your polarity with a multimeter and see whats what.

Have you had to fix or replace any other light fixtures on your truck? These might also be worth checking for polarity flips.

Be sure to check your power supply from the truck to the control unit and be sure you arent wired for power in series instead of parallel.

Oh...and if this problem just occured out of the blue...suspect the tow brake control is faulty. Go to your trailer supply store and borrow one to test.

Good luck and be careful!
