  • Jeff Armer Nov 29, 2015

You need to find out where that fuse gets it's power .You need a power distribution diagram (chart) . Anything else not working ? What fuse # for radio ? 36 -44 in power distribution center .

USE A TEST LIGHT PEOPLE!

a1cbacf.jpgPeople,use a test light,it is your best friend, when trying to find a bad fuse,or a bad circuit,it is your friend, and using it will make you feel good about yourself.Like testing to see if there is voltage to your head lamp,or to the radio,or to find a blown fuse without pulling it out and looking at it.The test light will tell you witch fuse is blown, and you will not have to look for the fuse, and if the fuse is not marked, for example ,radio,if you test all the fuses, and find a blown fuse,it will most likely be the one for the radio. The test light grounds, with a cilp on a long lead, and you touch the fuses on each side, and if the fuse only lights up,on one side, then you know that fuse is bad,if it does not light up at all,on either side, then you know there is know the fuse has no power to it.The test light is not to costly either, about 5 dollars.

2004 honda crv brake lights don't work

Did you check the fuses with a test light? A fuse can look OK, but unless you test continuity or use a test light, you could be mislead.

While changing the inside trunk lightbulb, there was a tiny spark and then the clock and the power doorlocks do not work. Neither does the remote. This is a 1996 Toyota Avalon. Everything else seems to...

One way is to pull each fuse one at the time and look at the internal wire until you find the blown fuse. Another way is to use a 12volt old school test light. Notice each fuse has two test ports on top. Get a good ground on the test light and touch each fuses test port with the test light. If one side lights the test light and the other does not that is the bad fuse. If you decide to pull each fuse one at the time be sure you have your radios code if it needs one. Some radios need a code to turn them back on after a loss of power (such as pulling the fuses). Hope this helps FixYa up.

The lights inside the car, the panel, overhead light and radio, don't work. Could that be a fuse and if yes, where is the fuse box so that I can change it.

make sure the dome light is not turned off by the switch headlight of switch at the dome light.the fuse panel should be under the driver`s side to the left of the steering colume and use a test light to test the fuses.

How do find the radio fuse when it is blown

Easy way. With a test light connected to ground ( a test light is a tool that looks like a ice pick with a clear handle with a bulb inside, and a wire coming out the end with a clip on it) Connect the clip on the light to a metal ground under the dash and with the fuse panel where you can see it, touch the pointer to each side of the back of the fuses, with the key on. The light should lght on both sides of a good fuse. If a fuse lights the light on one side and not the other it's blown. For the radio to work three fuses all need to be good as theirs all the time power and key on power and lighting as the dash lights power. The cigar fuse many times provides the all the time power, But if it's blown the radio won't play. Pull one fuse at a time and look at them to see if the bar inside the fuse is good ( they can look good and be bad) back to the test light meathod, Look the fuses up in the owers manul and it'll tell you the location of the fuse but the radio fuse can be good and the radio strill not work as the cigar fuse has to be good too, There;s another fuse panel under the hood that has the main fuses near the battery, Again the test light is fastest and easiest as any fuse blown even though it's not the radio fuse can make the radio not play. Aftermarket radios can have inline fuses instlled by the radio installer and some have fuses right on the back of the radio.

Radio and cigarette lighter won't work 1996 Ford Ranger

Read your manual .It tells you were the fuses are.. If you use a test light, the terminal at the bottom of the lighter socket is positive and the barrel is ground.Don,t touch the two,or you will need another fuse. The fuse panel is on the left end of the dash. The cigar is #17 and radio is # 20
