Question about 2000 Dodge Durango
We were 3 hours into a road trip to OK, all gages and truck just shut down completely. We could not get it to turn over, not even after it sat all night long. Scared to buy a part for it because I am unsure of what exact part is needed. Everyone tells me its the computer but there has to be another name for the part.
If everyone that told you that is a experienced and trusted technician, then change the computer... that is the name of the computer, or you can call it Harry. Kidding...Otherwise, get a haynes manual and a volt ohmeter and do some testing It sounds as if you have a power supply problem, If I had to guess, Id say a bad main power connection, a main fuse (or link) or a bad ignition switch.
