Question about 1998 Ford Crown Victoria
I HAVE A FORD 1998 CROWN VIC AND WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM 50-70 MPH I HEAR THIS RATTLE OR KNOCKING. AT IDLE OR BELOW 50 MPH ITS QUIET AS A SLEEPING KITTEN. AND ITS ALSO STARTING TO SPUTTER NOW. I WAS WONDERING AM I GOOD JUST CHANING THE FUEL FILTER, SPARK PLUGS, PLUG WIRES? AND IWAS WONDER ING WAS THE KNOCKING PROBABLY DUE TO 87 OCTANE DOES IT NEED 89 OR BETTER?
Try higher octane and decarbon engine. fuel filter good idea also. sounds like detonation
