What could cause 1993 chevrolet beretta 2.2l to hestitate while driving

Possibly the ECM. You might check with the dealer regarding updates to dealer service bulletin 902-302-6E.

Another service bulletin:

Engine stall, long cranks & deceleration
surge 1990-93 (33-65-06 & 93-291-6E)

This may involve a process of elimination. Here are some possibilities:

Beretta stalling when braking. HELP!

First I would get those brakes looked at. There are generally little wire wear switches in the brake pads. When they wear the wire off, it trips the computer something is wrong. Heavens can only guess what else it does in the ECU mind. So fix that first and then see if problem goes away.

Beretta stalls at stoplights

Check your throttle plate inside the plenum throttle bore for carbon build up, the sides and back of the plate should be clean if not get some throttle body/plate cleaner by CRC at your local parts house and use a rag and old tooth brush and follow instructions on can. This should solve your problem.Good luck

Hi I have a 93 Beretta GT 3.1 was having problems puttin the car in gear and the car staying running and would stall out and when driving it would jump like the car wasnt gettin enough gas...i changed the...

If you pull a breather hose loose and spray some carb cleaner down the throat and replace the hose will it try to start? You may have burnt the ignition fuse while tring to start it before. Check all fuses including under the hood. Check them all but we are looking mainly for the one marked ignition. If no luck there then I want you to test the ignition modulator. it is the little black or grey plastic coated half moon shaped box under the distributor cap mounted on the top of the distributor wrapped half way around the middle shaft. In order to check this you will need to take a hair dryer and heat the modulator up to very warm but be sure not to melt the outer covering. Hurry and replace the distrib. cap and get the dryer out of the way of the fan. try to start it. If it sputters or maybe even starts it is the culprit. I have had them even start and keep running after the test but will not start again after you shut it down. Let me know if we have gotten any place so far and I will go from there. Raz

I have a1990 beretta it kills after half

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Check your fuel pump and inline fliter. Pump may be going out and not delivering enough fuel or the filter is plugged and not allowing enough fuel to reach the engine.
